just wait till joymax starts it up right. I see 15million people playing it within the next year. And dont even get me started on their item mall
'S Darkeden good?
Frankly, I think Joymax makes more. Some of you fail to see how much some people spend on silk.
Also some dude posted some time ago how much iSRO makes... It's SHIT LOADS. The GM's are Farking loaded.

25 servers.
1.5 to 2k gold farming bots
1000 players per server buying 300-500 silk a month
Plus all the ccf'ers that get away with it and a few kids with deep pockets, that would be 500 maxed accounts monthly?
It still has no comparrasion to WoW and Blizzard, imo
You are forgetting the costs.. the WoW team, game development, server costs, customer service etc etc.. Those cost WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than joymax's has costs.. So no, it could very well be that joymax EARNS MORE. Relatively they earn more in any case..
8 million active users, 16 million games sold (something like that?) > development costs.
The reason why WoW has more support is because they have the cash to do so. Silkroad is barely cutting the margin and don't have enough left over for a support team.
doubt that, if you saw what the server costs are, and what gms, telephone personel etc cost, you'd most likely think otherwise aswell..
If you had friends who have worked at Joymax, you'd probably agree with dom
@ Guys saying JM makes 1.6Bil etc.etc. to the best of my knowledge it's bullshit. They just have a huge industry in iSRO, so iSRO might be BOUGHT for 10mil+ USD, or maybe a larger number. (That's what Aust_ZoRRo or whoever wrote) I really don't think JM is raking in 1.6Bil a year.
Edit: http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic ... profits%2A

Thanks AAzumak for the awesome sig!!!

No but seriously, some one posted Joymax's earnings of 2006 and it was in the area of 1,600,000,000 USD.
I'll try and find it, but every google search I do turns up with some gay .pdf file.

Did a quick google search. One of the few sites I found on google that wasn't a PDF file said that JM has not released 2006 and 2007 profits? o_O
Edit: the PDF from http://www.tencent.com says 58mil USD profits for the whole company last year. Impressive if its true. Anyway I'm out for tonight.

lol To even compare the two is insane.
Joymax will never find its way out of the massive shadow that Blizzard casts on the MMO world. If Joymax made as much money as Blizzard does in one month off World of Warcraft, not only would they ditch SRO, they would all buy a mansion and live the rest of their lives in luxury.

Yeah that's what I saw too lol =/ Still, srsly need to find that thread just for clarification.
Oh Reise ... Ofc I'm in no doubt Blizzard > Sro, but in terms of money ... which is what the OP asked for I think Joymax earns more.
That is ... if you were to even up the total of players that play your game.

No shit mate....comparing Joymax to Blizzard is like ask which team has more
money...Manchester United (richest football team in the world as of 2006/07 season)
or AFC Telford (a Conference south team that uses bake sales to raise money
for the club)![]()
They might have been the richest that season, but liverpool still kicks their ass.
Ok...one that was last season and Man Utd are still the richest..and liverpool
are already out of the title race, its down to us (man utd), Arsenal and Chelsea....better luck next season, and try not to lose or draw so many
games ok![]()
You got me there, but Liverpool will win the Uefa champions cup this year.

Thanks cin.

Well its obvious that Blizzard earns more than Joymax...
Erm... are you saying South Korea is poor?
At the moment, i prefer Joymax to Blizzard... Blizzard is such a money grabbing company, and they ban accounts just so that they force people to buy new ones (in WoW)... i'm waiting on the release of Starcraft2 but I will still prefer Joymax as a nicer company.

its like saying who would win in a fight.
a quadapalegic or a ufc fighter?
What the hell is a quadapalegic, I tried using dictonary.com, but it didn't give me a definition.
It's actually quadriplegic, and it means someone who is paralyzed in both arms and both legs.

LOL my friends and I all got banned accounts for some reason and I don't know about them, but I didn't cheat. The only add-on i used was Cosmos.

Wow easily makes 98%+ of the money blizzard makes, they might sell 1 or 2 copies of wc/sc each month, but it is nothing compared to the revenue of wow.
It is very well possible that JM earns more money then blizz, as everyone knows JM hardly cares about sro.

Well if you got banned unfairly, you just put in tickets and shit and contact them and if you really didn't cheat you'll get your account back.
