What do you mean?

Do you mean the original idea of, if you get hit for 10k, 5k comes from hp, 5k comes from mp?

From what I understand, the Mana Shield uses MP as extra HP. From a 10k damage, a 50% Mana Shield would take away 5k from MP, then 5k from HP.

My question is, how high does this Mana Shield go in the 90 cap? Going up to 100% sounds fun but I don't think it'll reach that high.

I personally see Mana Shield as a must have. To acquire this skill, I'd have to sacrifice some of my Bicheon:

80 Ice
80 Fire
80 Light
60 Bicheon

According to Blurred's ksro friend, the mana shield takes 2x as much damage going to MP. 10k hit = 10k to MP and 5k to HP (this is what i'm guessing it meant).

And according to the .xls file someone posted:

I didn't know b4 that 100% of the damage goes towards your mp. I guess that will change things quite a bit.

But I think for a nuker, is to finish the fight fast and sweet before your mana shield runs out. Long fights are not favoured in any situation I guess? exspecially pot war.

I'll think twice before switching to ice.
perhaps it is more balanced than I think....

i wonder which lasts longer, heuksals fan spinning or mana shield :)

heuksal at 78 +915 mag defence for 15secs

mana shield at 75 = 45%

SUPPOSEDLY it lasts as long as you have mp, I doubt it though.

so net cooldown is 1 minute.

Ice at 75+ will give u 45% absorb. Ice at 60 will give u 40%. Isnt better a build like 80 fire/light/bicheon 60ice :roll:

wow if Mana shield last only 2 mins and it takes 3 mins to recharge, its not worth getting it because you'll be to vulernable during the time when you don't have it... especially when you are a nuker

my question is, is the mana shield only absorb PHYSICAL damage? or OVERALL damage?

since it's in an ice tree, i somehow believe its physical only.

is that mean all nuker gonna go garment then ? since int+garment= another int cant kill them

I think that before deciding the masteries we should know if we can get 80 pasives. A pure int spear lvl80 with perfect alchemy set and lvl8 passive can have more than 10k of HP, if he has 50% transfer from mana shield it will be that for 2 minutes he will have like 20k HP (near a pure str glavier) and nuking you with his lvl80 light skill and he will have the last book of the SS to stun you :shock: .

Mana shield lasts forever... Unless you run outta MP it wears off.

And from where did you take that info?

I have no idea about the cooldown, but the skill clearly specify that last 120 sec.

You will need vigors because first it was hp + mp pots, then you would use a vigor if you needed hp.
Now you will use hp + mp pots, and use a vigor because you need mp :D
