Monsters of any lvl can drop a seal of star, seal of moon, seal of sun, + item or blue item. These drops will either be 1 degree above your characters degree, 1 below that degree, or the same degree

i believe its one degree above or below the MONSTER's degree rather than the player's degree?

To everyone who has made "crediable and constructive comments" I thank you.

To the people who insist on spreading false information about the drop rates please leave this topic.

I have looked into the Source code of SRO in alpha stages and the Item drops are completely as random as a computer can make them.

While people may think certain mobs drop certain sos items that is bullcrap. Yes 1 person might find 15 sos while another one finds 1 or none. That is all about randomness and probablility.

People who say otherwise fail to see that connection.

I will say again whether you think lucky on a set helps drops. It doesnt. Lucky is used in +ing or blueing an item. It "increases" the success probability.

Statements like this annoy me. When I see a sos drop, I dont take the time to screen shot it. I want to pick it up asap and see the stats. If he took a screen shot of it in his inventory, how do you know it was a drop? And screen shots can be edited. So please refrain from using this phrase anymore...even though he probably didnt get a 32 sos glaive from a yeti :)

yeah this is one of the games you cant go to some monster and grind it till you get the item you want

SoX drop is too damn random
best way to get drop of sox(it wont happen when you want it to happen) is just to have good spot(yeah lol go find one w/o bots xD) and just grind the shit out of it, the rest is pure luck
if you kill 1 milion monsters maybe god will sorry your lifeless ass and drop you sos gear piece that doesnt fit your gender

might not have been lied to this person could have had this back at the 60 cap he did say yeti and it was 60 cap period this glitch appeared no idea when it went but its been fixed since 100% on that

Agreed. My reply was a bit hazy. I ment that this guide is to help people who might have been lied to ( i used him as an example even though he might not have been lied to)

This is not a flame, but that comment is 100% a false claim. Like you have said to many "prove it". For one the RNG will be in the source code but the loot table is not, that will be stored on a database.

Drops are easily area specific. Items drop in certain areas. The loot table for a certain area is pretty big. You will have two loot tables for any give area. The only exception is name mobs, like tiger girl, Isy, etc. They are on their own seperate loot table.

You will have a trash loot table = hp potions, arrows, etc. Then you will have the equipment loot table. Knowing this info "WILL" succeed your chances of getting more SoX drops, but not how you think.

For example. If you are in an area that lvl 32 glavies drop for instance the death flowers then you are in the correct loot table that just "Might" drop the SoX version of it. If you are not in an area that drops the 32 glavie then you "Will" not get the sos 32 glavie. And yes there are some areas in the game that do not drop the level of item that can be sos.

To say there is not even greater knowlegde out there on this issue would be silly. I find it strange 8 degree weapons and armor that can be SUN have not been in the game as long as the other degree SUN items but why is it that it has the most population of SUN then any other degree of armor/weapons?

And i can assure you anyone that has seen the source that includes the RNG or the loot table database would not posting it on forums =)

Sorry dude i appreciate you trying to help the community and "Any" info on peoples insights are helpful when someone is trying to crack the loot tables, but you made yourself invalid by claiming the whole source code hoax.

I'm pretty sure that some areas are definitely better for SoS hunting because they give a larger quantity of SoX. You have to take spawn rate into consideration, I found 2 SoM and one SoS in all the time I spent farming in the Bandit Stronghold, yet I haven't found a single SoX item outside of there.

I remember reading (somewhere official, the website or the in game help menu) that champions (and giants?) have a greater chance of dropping equipment with blue stats.

i would have to agree, there seems to be a large 8th degree sosun drop area...there seems to be more sosun weapons 8th degree than lower lvl sos

a friend of mine was a grinding in almost the same spot for like an hour, found 4 blades and a few other misc items

but there is definately something wrong with the 8th degree sosun drop rate...well, there's something wrong with it until i find one, than its ok

Well, that might be because you have killed so many of them. Also, you killed them while they were green to you. Meaning they had a higher drop rate anyway.

As Sroge stated it is different to how you are stating it.

Perhaps it is simply your english you have wrong.

Drops are not completely random.

Drops, for one, are monster dependant. The specific drop rate of items is relative and individual for each monster class.

Yes every monster has the chance to drop sos/som/sox etc However it is also true that some monsters have higher chance of specific drops.

Most mmo's work upon this similar code.

Otherwise please explain how most rare drops at snipers+ are sosun. I would like you to explain that one lol

It's simple why. All the 8d sosuns that have been dropping after level 80 cap came out are actually 9d sos drops. However since 9d isn't implimented into the game the 9d sos items become the next best thing, 8d sosun.

Not true, but ok. Anyhow about proving it. I am not going to post up the source code here. As that would endanger the security of SRO. No one is making you believe me. But I know what I know. You believe what you know to be true. We cannot convince eachother otherwise. So lets leave it at that ok? :D
