How To Be A |337 Glavie Player!

Post by BluntM4n »

In this guide i'll explain how to lvl fast and SP farm faster as a Full STR glavie player.

Things You Will Need
1. Bow
2. Glavie

Skills You Will Need
- The Ghost Spear Series

S/N Of My 2 weaps.

Now, we use teh bow to make the MOB because its very fast and don't take alot of time.
Image
You can make a MOB of 10-20 monsters at once just make sure you can handle it.

Now switch back to your glavie, and use skills from the ghost spear series and get busy!
Image

Playing this way is alot better IMO, reason you kill faster, you get alot more exp quicker, its so good for SP farming. And better chance of getting a good drop :D

On a Side note... Nukers get jealous, and ks you cause they would get owned before they can kill a mob. Not all of them do this but most of them.

The bow works faster for luring them.

This way is really great for Lvling i went from 54 to 55 in 3hrs with GT playing like this.

My guild mate kills penons one by one and he went up 40% lol..

Actually this will take LESS MP. Basically, use the bow and hit a penon once, then another, and another, and so on. When they are in a group around you, use Ghost spear and Chain spear shura (has part AoE dmg). You are saving MP because your damage is hitting each penon, and your using less skills in the end.

As for the guide, its okay. Short, sure, and not really about what the title says. this has nothing to do with builds, its basicly the same thing i did when i first started playing before i discovered that this is crap. Your alot better off just using the bow, with a anti devil and a arrow combo you can pick off quite a few monsters before they even reach you.

So yes, on paper it looks good, but really, no. Its just a waste of effort.

Its not waste of effort...What monster did you try it on? This technique works best on most passive monsters..And if was carp when you first started playing is cause you were a no0b at that time and did not have the skills, this technique needs.

this is loloz lol. the chain sure will give damage to a lot of mobs around you, but consider how long it takes you to kill all those mobs versus how long it takes you to kill 1 mob using a different skill instead of chain.

Nice guide, I saw a s/s nuker doing this at the Penons in Ksro, but I think she was probably 5 lvls higher than pennons since they were hitting only 50's to 100's on her. Also most of the penons were partry/elite ones (with blue icon next them) I think she was speed grinding for the so-ok event cuz she got alot of them.

mob grinding is a skill, you don't just take your fave build, and start letting it get mobbed and hope for a faster grind. try to check the this int grinder from aege in you tube. i jsut forgot the title and the link. he was grinding on reds in takle (generals and mages) and he played with positioning. mob grinding is indeed faster that picking them off one by one. you can even set youf HP pot higher and still achieve better results. i grind on PEG's i nuke one, then point to another mob for the next nuke, then the next then the next, until i have five of tehm, tehy get killed eventually with the AOE damage. but especially if you have a champion in teh middle of normal mobs, AOE damage is put there for a purpose you know. use it!
i'm a grateful grape

I actually did that thing in Mixmax's Sig!

Its a good guide, but the more appropriate title should be How to grind better with glaive or Mobbing 101 with glaives.

This may be a little different because im a pure str blader but mobbing is definately a useful technique when you can do it, especially when u get pedal sword dance. When i mob i estimate i speed up killing by something like 25% to 33% faster than without.

You might as well use lion shout. That's what I did to get mobbed.

It doesn't hurt to try mobbing. If you're a glaiver, then you should try his idea for at least a few hours.

It takes a little practice and getting used to to efficiently mob.

I am a s/s nuker and i make sure a 3-hitter nuke hits 3. Right now at 53 (with 8gap), I hit 3 penon fighters with 1 nuke. I fire the 2nd nuke to the penon that got the least dmg. Lastly I hit the penon that got the mid damage during the 1st nuke with the 3-hit KD (or whoever is left standing). Right now I can't kill penons in a single nuke. So you think mobbing, 3 skills to 3 penons is "a waste of effort" vs. 1 nuke + 1 weapon skill just for one penon?

I just started to grind my brother's glaiver over the weekend and it was not until a few hours that I started to get the hang of a STR-based glaiver's mobbing. There was a definite lack of ranged skill as he still has only 1 flying dragon. So I have to make do with a short sprint + a phantom to compensate for the flying dragon still cooling down. I guess this bow thing does still work at higher levels.

Mobbing needs positioning your character against the mobs, anticipating their moves, and quick selection of the next target in the mob. You should pick another target in the mob for each skill. I don't of course assume this simple switch-targeting and positioning is within anyone's capacity. Especially for those who didn't give an effort to try yet quickly concluding "a waste of effort" with no basis at all.

i am a new glaiver still grinding tigers in jan but what i end up doing is running through a group of 3 or four and then turn and soul spear one retarget and start using multihit skillz plus my wolf is still biting the first one, after that second hit retarget the third but keep using multi-target hit skillz. you can usually wait for a guy/caravan with 3 or 4 chasing and pull some off.....i have used the bow alot to lure them but I got tired of switching and wanted more F1 slots filled with glav skillz versus the anti-devil and other bow stuff.

I like to run my wolf pup through the mob and then once they surround him I come charging in with glav sweeping......

Sorry I have no experience across the river.

lol, no way, even w/ 0 gap & pure int can u get from lvl 54 to 55 in gt of 3hrs, & u'll be losing more gt time to trying to get them to follow ur train of death

& killing 1 by 1 is still more efficient as a glavier, as int u can do the nuke 1 & nuke the next, but w/ str it's better to kill 1 by 1

& mobbing kills ur durability very fast

1st...& wasnt designed for use at the beginning of a line lol and 2nd...actually str's are made to get mobbed cuz they have high hp, but if you are int hybrid, or pure int with leet gear you can get mobbed to >.>
