Hawk + Sword. Good? Bad? Ugly?

Post by LuV3r8o1 »

Is the hawk worth getting for a swordsman?
I know i'll need a bow to summon it, that's not a problem. And the extra attack rating couldn't hurt.

If you've tried this, i'd like to know how you felt about it.

I switched from bow to sword at level 22 so I've got a level 5 hawk (increases attack rating by 14) that I always summon when I'm grinding. I haven't really compared how I go without it, but I figure every little bit helps. As for looks, my pets match becaue they're both white. Now all I need is a white bunny and I'll be set. :D

Hawk don't work on sword.
It requires a bow to use the skill.

Yeah it does. You only need a bow to summon it, then you can switch back to sword. Trust me, I do it all the time.

Some nukers get the hawk because magical damage(which is what a nuker deals) varies greatly with each attack. So the hawk helps you deal your highest possible damage.

personally, i would rather stick the points (because you have a 300 mastery cap) into another skill tree (ex. ice) for another nuke.
because, unless you lvl pacheon to 70 and get the blue hawk, IMHO, its not worth it. 19 AR hardly does too much difference when you have 200-300 something on your weapon, right?
thats just my opinion though.

I think i'm gonna skip over ice nuke. It doesn't do as much damage as fire and lit.

Question to the people that use hawk + sword...should I get blue hawk or black hawk? I have a wolf, so if I get the black hawk, it'll be like 2 pets. BUT the blue hawk gives the attack rating increase. :?

AHHH!! The choices!!! :banghead:

Um, Don't get the hawk that does damage, because that defeats the purpose of getting a hawk (your nukes should be killing mobs in 1-2 hits anyway, and you need the AR increase.)

It is deffinitally worth-it at lower lvls but at higher lvls:
- you might get in trouble with masteries..
- you can use alchemy to pimp up your ar, becomes less 'worth-it

I dunno.. i'd say if you got pacheon already to 7 because you've farmed at the bandit den you might as well get it for 10.
Do not write stupid, when somebody loses.l lik the game myself but my 6jears old kid,who like to play games so much, has refuse to play, bcos of that word.Pls write something abit funny.l hope you consider my suggestion.Thank you and God bless you.

You wont notice a difference with the hawk + pacheon passive before lv 60+ where you start to deal massive damage ;)

Erm... Bring a bow just for summoning a lvl 1 hawk... How useful is that???

Actually it is quite useful and i know many people who do this. And almost every single high level player uses a shield to add fire shield. It can only help you right? How could it be not useful?

Im sure you can spare a slot for it.

And how high you choose to level the hawk is up to you.

I carried a shield in my inventory since lv 50 (now instead of pills), to make myself immune.

Other people a bow to increase overall damage :P

well in theory the plus AR from white or blue hawk is a fine thing.
i was a huge fan of this once. Till i found out for myself that you dont benefit that much from it as you should.

as 6X pure int nuker i thought it would be nice to have some additional AR so i skilled pacheon up to 54 to get the blue hawk and the passive.

Additonally i also tested the Scroll from Event to gain 4XX Hit Ratio.
Sadly, after hours of grinding i realize that there was absolutely no difference compared to killing with no Hawk & Scroll and Hit Ratio of 29X. Hard to believe but true.
