Yes, it was technically perfect, as most James Cameron movies are. And the angles Jame's Cameron uses are almost exclusive to him. If anyone else were to attempt this it would fail terribly. This is why I say that I hope 3D is not a trend directors start to follow because one movie became a blockbuster for it.
That being said; this was quite a snorefest, aside from the great effects, I did not want to watch 2 and a half hours of how humans just consume, consume, consume and have little to no appreciation for the planet.
If not for the 3D aspect, I don't think this movie would have done as well.
