Seriously, open your eyes.

or because its summer?

how so? i cant have an opinion? i cant believe that humans have like almost no effect on the earth? i'm talking about the climate here not how humans chop down all the trees and cause all the animals in that area to relocate. what that being said prove me wrong show me something that humans did to the climate and something big not the no airplanes in the are made for clear skys.

The problem is, you can;t be sure certain about if it's true or not because Scientists are still not sure.. Wasn't Alaska suppose to break off some years ago ? Something about continents flooding also? That didn't seem to happen...

co2 barely does anything to the earth even if it does there is something out there to counter it. co2 levels are pathetic in global warming i mean come on did anyone see the videos on the first page? there was a time the earth was 10 DEGREES warmer........and your all worried about 1-2? dont listen to Al gore sure it sounds right but look at the whole picture does it still look right?

Lol. Think on a bigger timeframe. 1-2 Degrees per 100 years. 1000 years, 20 degrees, most if not all arctic animals will die.

Google Is mans best friend, no?
Right, exactly how have we hit our peak warming now when our peak carbon levels will continue for hundreds of years? Maybe YOU should READ the sources I quoted above. Nature is one of the best (if not the best) science publications out there. They're not arguing about "if" global warming is happening, they're trying to figure out what damage it will cause, how many people and animals will be affected, and how the earth will deal with such a massive climate shift in such a short period. This really isn't a debate anymore, at least not for the informed.Amarisa wrote:McLovin1t wrote:Amarisa wrote:co2 barely does anything to the earth even if it does there is something out there to counter it. co2 levels are pathetic in global warming i mean come on did anyone see the videos on the first page? there was a time the earth was 10 DEGREES warmer........and your all worried about 1-2? dont listen to Al gore sure it sounds right but look at the whole picture does it still look right?

lol? its not going to keep going up something is going to happen that will make it get colder. we hit our peak in fact isn't it already starting to get colder? like i have been saying watch the videos on page 1 of this thread and it will explain.

You know what I really think though? I think the outcome does not compute with some people's brains. I'm not sure if it's a self preservation measure, if it's ignorance, stupidity, or just sheer terror, but I really think some of you just can't process the information. So when one guy gets up and says, don't worry it's not really happening, you RUN to him and ignore thousands of scientists telling you different. Or you don't want to believe it's true because then the future is scary and your behavior is in question. Take your pick, but that's how it looks through my eyes.

First of all, I hope you're READING evidentiary support and not listening to it. Al Gore's movie is great because he's trying to motivate people, but he does get some of the science wrong, so it might be easier to refute than evidence coming from an actual scientist. This is not about people's opinions. There is scientific evidence that points to man-made global warming, there is scientific evidence that the warming is excellerating, and there is evidence that catastrophic events are likely to occur if we don't cut down on our carbon emmissions. There isn't going to be some magic "thing" that comes in and cools our planet down. We're in trouble, period.Amarisa wrote:lavapockets wrote: So when one guy gets up and says, don't worry it's not really happening, you RUN to him and ignore thousands of scientists telling you different. no that is not how it goes i don't listen to 1 guy and stick with him. i used to believe Al gore after watching his movie thing then saw evidence that i believe proved him wrong. i listen to everyones evidence and make up my own mind i don't let someone else make it for me.
this is about peoples opinions there is no way one person is right. sure the levels of CO2 is sky rocketing but i don't believe it will cause global warming. sea level rise is nothing because once fresh water shuts down the Pacific belt or what ever you call it the transfer of heat by the ocean is dead. there is so many things that counter the other say one thing and there is something out there that will counter it.

Here is an article talking about this topic precisely:

Something to keep in mind. In case any of you don't understand how scientists function, they are moderately risk adverse and their assessments and predictions normally range on the conservative side. They dislike saying something is happening without being able to prove causality, which is why it took them so long to officially come out and say "yes climate change and global warming are happening and they are man made". Now, what you have in the meantime are a bunch of non-scientists funded by conservative think tanks injecting their "opinions" (because they lack evidence). Do not equate hesitancy with being wrong, or expediancy with being right.

McLovin1t wrote:Dude Amarisa gtfo. CO2 TRAPS HEAT. OF COURSE IT ISN'T AN INSTANT HUGE BUILDUP. Our peak is no where near the highest so seriously, just you are making me /facepalm so much. Where have you been for the past several years. Honestly. In hundreds of years, if CO2 keeps building up there will not be any more life, or anything so please stfu. Dude it's people like you who are like "omg it's nothing don't worry", and don't recycle or do anything and cause it to be an even bigger problem. The CO2 will heat up the ocean and cause more hurricanes, along with more destroyed animal species, so dude just listen to at least 5 well informed scientists (out of the thousands who know that it is 100% true), instead of the one insane person who showed you it doesn't exist.
