IT DIDN'T BOOT!!!!
Couple hours later and I'm getting the RAM ready to send back
So sad, was excited to see what my baby could do.

cuchulainn wrote:4. Yes, all the components were matched when I picked them out (ie, the mobo takes DDR2 800 RAM but can be OCed to DDR2 1066, but I bought DDR2 800 RAM)
Every time I booted up, I got 3 beeps and no video. The possible BIOS for my mobo are AMI, Award or Phoenix. Mine (and another friend's conclusions) was that based on the beep code (3 beeps of the same tone), it was AMI since it didn't match Award codes and the Phoenix ones are much more complicated. 3 beeps = base 64k RAM failure. I tested each stick separately in every slot to no avail. RMAing the RAM today, hopefully will have new sticks early next week.

Thats what you get for buying cheap ram or you might of shorted out the ram with static.

Vandango wrote:Yea just cheap stuff 2gb is good to go for.
4gb is only good for high end games. not like you really need that much for low end stuff. 2gb is plenty for photoshop, sro And stuff.
