95% of the ppl banned from forums were people that admitted to botting.
then u have ppl saying it wasnt them, being sarcastic, saying they got their account hacked, etc and treatment and consequence is different for all. There is no equality shown thus far, some have more conclusive evidence than others and haven't been banned. Then you've got like 10 people jumping on ONE person because they KNOW they botted, but proof never seems to be enough. If you check the exposed botters list, theyre like no-names in these forums..cuz they really dont care thats why they came out and said 'yeah i botted'. Sylhana vs Luoma, not to be mean but sylhana seems in just as much guilt as luoma, yet one is still banned and the other isnt. Ito's chars been caught, instant ban even though it wasnt her on the char. The rest, came out and basically said 'i bot'. Crumps, Fly, NB, etc have scammed and been banned for botting, u've got like a handful of people jumpin at them in topics that get locked..why do they pounce on em like that? cuz theyre sure of it. Will they get banned? doubt it.

as for me im just gonna sit back cuz i cant really prove anything, i dont play on all servers and cant screenshot or fraps anything if theyre not on babel, and even then i WOULDNT submit it to ban someone here because its just not worth it. In-game, some of the coolest people are botters, there are awesome legits too, but i wouldn't do that to a fellow babel comrade..even if theyre in a guild i hate.

For the past year or so, people on these forums (whom will remain unnamed), have told me they bot. Other's have told me that they've asked someone for a bot, others have talked about it in vent, and word of mouth has just spread about SRF-ers that bot. I can tell you none of them have been banned yet through this 'Exposed Botters' thing, and they probably wont because as soon as one person who's a closet botter gets someone else banned, domino effect takes place.

personally, i wouldnt like to see any more people banned. It's just f*cking up these forums and the people that have been banned, aside from 1 or 2, they really dont do much here anyway.

These forums are run by Ryoko and SG, what they do is their choice, and will effect the outcome of this forum after it is done. Just because something is law, does not mean it is good. Joymax decided their rules, SG decided his own. You now have a glimpse of the results and what will come to pass.

Well reise, it can be. I know your very laid back, care free kind of guy. You have no attachment to sro or its people, and thats cool. I respect it. But me? I use to like srf a lot. It was fun coming here and posting in GD way back when it wasnt full of the crap it is now. I wrote a guide to help people, i enjoyed helping a little nub in GD with their wolf, or gave them some information cuz it made them so i . Now, everywhere i go its Avalon throwing thier complete and utter shit around. They prance this forum like they are gods among men, and they own it. Its farking disgusting, and not something to be proud of. I dont give a rats ass about what they did on their server, it effects me ZERO, what does effect me is the fact that they are complete and total assholes on these forums, and i have to empty my inbox from these assholes.
Back to the botter issue... just because someone bots doesnt exempt them from experiencing anything, by getting rid of all the botters, the community is being destroyed. 1 mod down (yes, i did it) another going down. And guess what, it doesnt stop there. More and more well respected members are going. no no no, your missing my point. My point is, just because someone bots, it makes them no less of a person. The same exact person a legit can be. Caring, nice, respectful, generous, helpful, and most importantly, a friend. By banning all the bots, you must realise that you are banning a huge portion of this forum, and then the community is null, what good is that?

Good points but you must understand, Fudge, every case is scrutinized separately and looked from a different view depending on the circumstance and evidence. Unless sufficient evidence [read the sticky] is provided the user won't be banned, and i do recall people accusing SG of being hesitant when banning Itonami. I recall the same accusations regarding Luoma, and now countless [exaggeration] threads + post are appearing to insinuate that Sui and the rest of the mod team are "playing favorites", specifically targeted towards Sylhana [who might i remind you is a he not she]. I will assure you now, we, the SRF moderation team, take this new addition to the forums very seriously and realized the consequences [both good and bad] of creating said section. Please do not belittle us by assuming ,we, the moderation team are playing Favorites.

Dude, be for real how many times has shiz happened that has caused momentary chaos on the forums which in most cases resulted in a flurry of bans and flames and blahblah. Seriously m8, its not that big a deal, i'll use recent "fresh" examples:

• Black fox banned, reaction: "Oh noes its the end of the world, the mods is abusing powers, oh noes powers trip blah balh we want fox back we want fox back", "I is leaving, i know take this shit forum no more" [2 days later] "I is back", "fox sucks, hate fox 'flame ROAR' what how dare you hate fox, what he do what he do?!" 2 weeks later "who the fck is blackfox?" - "you know that guy that was banned, you knwo remember, that one guy... the guy..." - "doesn't ring a bell mate, well if he was banned he must've been trouble" - "yeah"
• And the most recent big banning, which might i add had no seriously visible side effects, Fudge's ban: reactions, ^refer to black fox banning except the ending was different. Ending: "WTF Hax fudge is back, YAY"
  
• Basic gist of this thread: shiz happens, shiz is repeated, shiz goes crazy, craziness dies down, shiz happens again. Rinse and Repeat

Basically this whole "oh noes bot is banned, no snitching!one!!11eleven!!1, is bad etc etc etc" will die down and people won't care again; only difference is the end result will be quite :/ pleasing. E.G. truly a safe haven for legits.

Ok, I know it was your nickname on ksro, I was in your guild there, and I obviously mistyped it. But seeing that on the ban list and knowing it was your ksro nick and thinking it was fairly unusual I had to connect that. But I don't really care about it and don't really know why I even bother posting here cuz I'm not against/pro botting anyway so I'm stopping from now on if it doesn't concern me / friends ..

The people who botted and got caught serve as an example that botting is bad and there is a consequence, even if you are liked and all carebear. JM might not have one for you, but the community does. Botters are NOT welcome in the community, so if you want to be a part, dont bot. Easy, huh?
