Nyu getting banned for botting?

And as Answer said the confession happened BEFORE the vent rule was applied

I'm really starting to miss your point here Master_Mind. Are you unhappy that Nyu was banned without a proper justification? Sure this incident was like few hours before SG announced the change but it was definitely something that inspired us to do it. If we find out somebody bots in vent, we will not let them go free.

For now, I know you have a lot of concerns. Like I said, please PM me. The last thing I want to hear from you is mod this mod that in this topic. I'm warning you right here, if you keep that up I will lock this topic. As I will be sort of taking over modding for Rome section, don't give me i didn't tell you to stop or tell you my way of doing things.

Summarizing everything I've said.
1. Nyu is banned, ban is justified.
2. If you have future concerns, PM me
3. Any more of your personal judgement about mods in this topic -> topic locked.

No hun, you're a sweet guy. I know sometimes you don't know whats going on and you're entitled to knowing them. Generally in any forum admins don't want thier users posting why this why that because it distracts the general public, not that we want to censor anything.

I think everyone here is missing something...the MODS here cannot play favorites to anyone, regardless of who it is. If they started doing that, they would get bombarded (more than they already do) about unbanning people's friends and such. If Nyu admitted to botting on vent or where ever, that was dumb of her (it's a her right?). She/he knows the rules and I think the excuse of it being vent, not SRF is a weak one. there are tons of people that bot, who cares, but the rules are the rules and if you bot, just don't open your big mouth about it...it's not hard. Plus, Nyu was starting a lot of shite on here anyways..admitting to botting was the last straw. the flaming is getting out of hand, and I'll be the first to admit that I've participated in it. Am I sorry? No, because I'll never take back waht I said that I feel was right. I still think EuropeanFTW is an idiot. w/e. STarting a thread about it is kinda lame, but if someone does, I'll chime in every time. Especially when people are defending the "bad" people on Rome. Anyways, give the MODS a break. They all work/go to school full time and have to moderate this forum. IT's a pain in the ass, but htey do it because they like the community and want to keep it civilized.

I agree with Jacks and Tarja but not Soapy Well, for myself, I wouldn't feel legit if I got power lvled by a bot plus, I've never seen a bot power lving ppl as efficient as a human power lvler.. I tried both and bots just make me sick... well, I guess lots of ppl agree with me... different opinions tho

And yeah, I agree the mods are doin their jobs right.. Just put yerselves in their shoes and think about it...

bots dont stop humans stop to chat so mostly they arent that much slower =P But still Legit is better in all view points ^^

@ Soapy: yeah they do chat but they kill efficiently, like when they find a party giant, or a party mob they go attack it but a bot will always kill the nearest mob which is silly and inefficient... so human power lvling wins

@ Jacks: well I don't hate them all, but I do know some ppl who bot and they're still my friends... I just hate the way they play and I'm glad I went to Venus where I could fight bots freely, I won't be under pressure and I won't be threatend... and most thing, I don't have bot friends there, actually I knew that one of the guys I used to grind with in parties is a bot, since then I made his SRO life as hell so well, some of them are nice, some are not but they all participate in ruining the game... I know some kids over here that bot just for one reason, to get a higher lvl character, in the fastest way plus for being lazy to do it... I just failed to have a normal discussion with them...

In Banya's case, she got wot she deserved, I'm still surprised at how you guys are sympathizing with her... I know some of you are botters but I won't mention names ever so it's just sad to see ppl fighting botters and sypathizing with her... yeah, I might be a bit mad at this point cos I hate Banya personally but wot happened was fair imo away from my personal hatred towards her...

Well in Rome I've been in bots parties before I took decision to fight them more firmly, or just bec I didn't notice they were botting at that time, anyways, they were less efficient that legits who power lvled me... yes my guild England was legit and I had a legit guy who power lvled us from time to time, he was way better than bots who were higher than him in lvl so well, try both, statistics don't lie

Also the PLer will be able to protect you if your being hit by a mob However, on the other hand, not many legits will PL you for 8+ hours a day.

I think u guys r missing the point here, PL-ed by a BOT is not an OPTION, it's not about who is more efficient, it is wrong and always will be, BOTs shudn't have existed, sadly, they did...so what a Legit shud do is try to avoid em "as much as possible", tho, u never can avoid em 100%, sm just happen to be our "friends"...etc.

and good times we had back then in England, shame it all had to end so "Tragically"...we still didn't get to do that guild war thingy btw.

I apologize for the entire thread being deleted. We do have new mods who just go on their jobs and we have gone through a many management plan changes, so please be patient with us.
