Great! Finally the high lvl botters are starting to get banned, that's awesome!

Even if you bot it takes a LOT of time to get to lvl 70, so I hope most of them figure it's just not worth it.

COCO - botted at bunghwangs
W_O_L_F - saw him in hotan a couple time, didnt knew it was a botter
flashman - botted at bungwhangs also, it was lvl50+ i think, but still botting at bungwahngs lol

CCTVgirl - her and Her sister CVTHI botted at bunghwangs weeks ago. Now that CCTVgirl is banned i can show u guys this:

nope, because i know all the "main" guilds in Oasis have used bots, and they are the ones who 1* pop because they got nothing else to do till the cap is upped =P

Don't recognize one person on the Xian list.

I have to agree with Darkjackal on this one. I know they're doing their best, but it's kind of sad to see lists like this when people submit the same person over and over and over and over and....well you get the idea. I'm going to keep submitting botters, but I don't see it getting better any time soon.

Maybe greatwall is spelled with capital i's instead of L's? Might be harder to find a specific botter if they're looking for greatwaLL and not greatwaii...just a thought.

Nprotect is back....like that makes a difference.

So true. They all 1* pop. There is almot no high level hunters on Oasis. People just put hunter card on to do Hunters vs Thieves wars :cry:

A couple of 'spies' here or there would be pretty good, but what we really need is everyone who doesn't bot to be educated on how to report it, and more GMs who really hate this sort of thing. If more players reported botters, and more GMs reported them to Joymax or whatever, then soon we'd have a pretty much bot-free game. Read the ANTI-BOTTING thread (in guides, I think) to get an idea.

You would be surprised how many people are either babysitting or not actually botting. I found a blader at penons who doesn't use imbue or skills because "pots are too expensive". And yet every time someone comes near one of his mobs, he moans about KS in the chat.

Fact is, the GMs don't play quite as much as you or I. They have work-type things to do. It takes several minutes at least to check one person, add in time running around and it gets to be quite a lengthy process to go bot-hunting. Much more efficient to go through the list of reported botters and teleport straight to them.

uh yeah..oooookay. A bot is a bot. No matter what level it is...I want to see it banned. I don't care if people know who the bot is or not. I want to see them banned. I don't care if they use the Item Mall or not..I want them banned.

I don't care where you are from and that the social mores support laziness and getting things easy and thus are okay with botting (No I am not talking about Vietnamese but rather you Americans. Crayon has said that the US leads the world in botting according to the IP addys of those that have been caught. ANd I understand why they cannot IP block..Ips can be dynamic...

People are awfully stupid about this. A bot is a bot. Like Joymax said...you bot...you should get banned. end of story.

and I think actually that one of the GM's stated that they actually have to do targeted DB log file analysis. My guess is that to scan the ENTIRE database would be madness and so they just needed to be pointed in the right direction. And then a filter would bring up a DB result.

SO even those of you who have botted in the past should be on notice. Because even if you use one for a second or a minute, it will leave a trace. Everything in a digital environment is logged in some fashion. ITs filtering and searching it out thats the problem.

They probably also do other tests as well..anywhere from network packet usage analysis.

Crayon has said that she/he is only window dressing in regards to the investigations.

It makes sense that they woudl depend on data for certainty and not on easily doctored screenshots and movies. Certainty in business requires different conditions than what you consider certainty. WHich is probably why Crayon seems to want you to follow procedure and will never go and just spot check and ban. Anytime you report a bot to Crayon; crayon always seems to answer with "report it to the bug report". ANd if my guesses are right...server teams or network teams probably have straight access to that report section and simply feed it in.

I mean think about the notices where the GM's have stated in a roundabout way that the process have gotten or will get faster...I think this is probably due to improvements in their search and analysis tools.

THis banlist is probably the first result of a more streamlined and tweaked process.

When people use GC to say "so and so is botting at x, y" do you think GM's ever port to him and look? Or is it completley ignored? or maybe 'sometimes' depending on how busy?
