My "asking her out" thread

Although I quit SRO, I love the community here, and I thought I'd see how you people are when it comes to NON-SRO topics and advice.

Over the past few days, Semester has changed lunches. Well, coincidently, this one girl, lets call her "awesomegirl" began sitting with us. Before I knew it, each day before classes, during lunch, after school, on the bus, and a few times with the "others" in the lunch group ( when seeing a movie as a group ) we would always talk to each other. I mean the whole giggly, cute, semi-flirty type of talking ( we are both typical nerds who like Led Zeppelin, AC *Lightningbolt* DC, 3 Doors Down, Queen, etc... You know what I'm talking about ). At first I thought she was really nice, then my friends and everyone around us started asking around, "do you like her" or "do you like him?". Well, apparently it's yes both ways but neither of us have asked or told one or the other.

So in the past 3 days I started to walk her home, even though it takes me 40 extra minutes to get back home to my place afterwards, well damn man I look forward to that walk every single day now. It's just silly, fun talk and I even tried pulling off some ultra lame joke- I got the same laughter, and the body language/chemistry is just undeniable.

Now, I can't stop thinking about her, when I do I get this overwhelming, unknown feeling I've never had before- I had to force myself to sleep just so I could have a break from that feeling. My world seems to become 100% awesomeness when I'm around her though. ( First love maybe? )

I need advice, what should be my next move? Cell phone/home numbers? Asking her out? Just hanging out, getting to know eachother better? Help me xD 2 weeks ago I was the single guy who would make fun of crushes as just temporary, I didnt have any desire to be with someone, and now this happened.

Perfect... Nothing better then getting some Grey Goose or Finlandia...Or if she;s small or weak you can get something weaker like Good ol Jack. If all else fails make sure theres jello shots at the party... Seriously 2 people wasted get to know each other so well and you know you will always say the truth. There's none of those boundaries or awkwardness between the two..

Do something to get her off your mind for about a week or so. After that, ask her out to dinner. The week is for you to calm down; it would be terrible to do something rash in front of someone you like.

Go for it. I'd wait for a couple weeks and see if she has a nasty side you dont like and if not ask her out. The cute crap will eventually fall by the way side around Sophmore year.

One easy way of judging someone is by taking a look at their friends and how they interact. Idk if that will help at all but there it is if you need it.

my advice, don't tell her you play SRO

so after reading that and your friends say that she likes you and you like her. ive got a plan for you.

ask her out to a movie or something. while in the theaters, wait till bout 5 mins during the previews to work your way towards her hand, if she moves it away, thats a RED LIGHT if she doesn't thats a GREEN LIGHT, keep moving your hand over to hers, SLOWLY!!! while your hand is ontop of hers, try working your hand to get under hers, if that is not an option for any reason, using your thumb, stroke her hand gently, this is saying to her, "i like you, lets hold hands." or something like that i think... stroke her hand for a while and then try again to work your hand underneath hers or visa versa. if you do make it in the hand holding phase, thats a very good thing. you should be set there for the movie, that whole process should take at least 20-30 mins from start to hand holding. if you are really brave and only if you have the hand hold thing, and she is into it(not trying to get her hand out) try going for the arm over the shoulder(make sure you ask if you can move the arm rest up to get more comfortable or something less cheesy XD) let go of her hand to do it, once its up move your arm(the one you used your hand to hold hers with) around her shoulder and gently pull her body into yours so that she is leaning on your chest. if all goes well, she should stay there till the end of the movie. if that all happens, you guys are in the clear and should be in the "going out" phase.

i have done this before for my last 3 gf's, 66% success rate(i didn't do the arm shoulder thing) but 100% success rate for the hand hold. trust me, this works and is ALMOST idiot proof. one thing to always remember is don't be a pussy and just go for it! count down from 3 if needed. asking out a girl is hard but with this, it should be a lot easier.
