Random Vista Error?!

I recently brought a laptop and dowloaded and installed silkroad. My laptop has Vista, i also play silkroad on the home PC which has XP and it works fine on there. However on my laptop i get a random error:

I HAVE set silkroad to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP, but it still does'nt have any effect.

I KNOW my laptop IS compatible with silkroad and all my drivers are up to date, so i dont know what to do. I am completely confuzled by it

(those of you who wish to see what my laptop it, if it might help you in helping me, the name of it is: HP Pavilion dv9657em)

PLEASE advise/help/tell me what i can do!!!

under capatbilty check tht thing like you said, but also dont ask me why this wrks but run as admin

i have vista and i solved it through this:

1. ctrl + alt + delete
2. task manager
3. Close all unnecessary apps. like windows sidebar, AIM, bittorrent, itunes, any music/torrent downlaoder, or even a sound system. (*also dont forget to turn off the bigfix thing)
4. run the .exe as administrator
5. Dont click or move your mouse at all.
