i'm looking for ratings of these three builds for two factors:
a) pvp and jobbing (ability to kill)
b) ability to make this character (eg warlock/wiz i heard is a torture to sp farm



1)
i like warlock, but it looks like if theres a cleric then it's screwed, so the first build with the wiz will allow teleports and other hard hitting nukes.
it's lacking the cleric survivability and also the ability to use holy word yourself though..

2)
second build is probably safer for 'lock because of the survivability and the ability to use buffs /recovery division and stuff like that. but will you be screwed because of the lack of teleport? also with invis characters ... that might pose a problem.

3)
rogues are just strong, but arent as cool looking or sounding as warlocks' 293849232 skills haha
how does a rogue match up to a pure str character in pvp? better than the warlocks or worse?

btw i've seen embodiment's warlock/wiz videos.. and that's just amazing ownage right there

Wizard/Warlock lacks much defense. Stun + Nuke = Death, but resist stun and you are dead for sure no matter what.

Warlock/Cleric good build can tank a bit with bless on but you'll hate how there is a bug (I think) where the durability on the rod goes down WAY TOO fast.

Rogue/Cleric awesome build, tanks like crazy with bless on and you'll kill super fast. Only problem is that bug (If still around) where if you use daggers you wont attack and gotta click somewhere else.

which of the three could take on a strength build the easiest?

The solution is very easy though - Durability increase 120% and you won't have any problems.

At low lvls I used 2 rods cuz I was feeling lazy to put durability on them (till lvl45) and I was leveling so fast.
But now, my rod has 120% durability (162/162) and I can grind for more than 2 hours per session and still manage to have some durability left (10-20/162).
Another thing to mention, the durability also depends on how are you gonna play the warlock - DMG dealer or Support build (only debuffs) in 8men parties.

It's the DOT's that cause the rod to wear down fast? or is it the buffs?

I was having this same problem and I decide to go warlock/cleric. It has so much better survivability than warlock/wiz and it is so much better in parties. Also, wiz may hav some good skills like earth barrier and teleport but u hav to switch to ur staff to use them and they dont even stay after the switch.

what i would do if stun was resisted i would either:
1. use sleep. i like using sleep before i nuke instead of stun because sleep last for 15 sec which gives you time to switch, turn on life control, and nuke =)

2. if it was a close range player (1h/2h, ect) i would switch to wizard, cast charged lightning, which would cancel the attacker's attack, then quickly nuke or switch back and use warlock.

3. cast dull and fog sight which might buy u some time to switch and nuke or recast stun. i wouldn't really use this one unless it was like a reflex =P.

thats about all the ways i can think of right now =T.

also wiz/warlock is a bitch to farm >< i jsut staretd with 8 gap at 48 and omg instead of leveling i'm losing %'s but thats cause i was soloing penons with 40 masteries and decent equips (+5 lvl 48 staff, SOM +3 helm and foot, +3 everything else)

rogue/cleric is definitely the best of all 3 in terms of dmg + survivability, but its juz as common as warrior/cleric and u can see them everywhere

i'm going wiz/warlock (Yes, needs HUGE amt of sp) but it will be fun and unique since most are wiz/bard, wiz/cleric
if u dun wanna farm too much and wanna be a wiz, go wiz/cleric, but ur cleric buff wouldnt help u much seriously cuz of ur super low hp
