Virus Scanners

Post by JeroenNL »

Well, Yesterday I lost my key for Norton and now im without virusscanner. Does anybody of you know a good alternative, preferably free? And I don't want any scanner that takes up more than 70% of cpu(like Norton)

Zone Alarm for firewall. NOD32 for antivirus. They're not free but with those two, you're 99.99% immune. :)

2. Is a free and very good type of anti-virus, I really can't explain how it works but it does a good job, it caught more then more Norton 360 did, one of the features i like is that it knows everything that happens onyour computer, this may not sound safe but hear me out, it has its eyes on everything so if you got a sneaky little virus or a hacker trying to access your computer it will notify you telling you that a program is trying to change a registry, you then have the opinion to deny or allow the change

I use this one and it's great.

It even has game mode, little expensive or you can just get a serial from santa clause :D I use just for the fact it combines all the programs (spyware doctor, adaware etc) all into one, here is a screenie of the main console.
