new computer ! =)

Post by huejas »

Okay so i decided to build myself a nice computer, heres what i came up with:

Case - a nice cheap case with a clear side just the way i like(also can put some nice lights in it :D )
Power Supply - 400w with lights :D but is it enough? :?
Processor - AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ 3.20GHz
CPU Fan - good cheap fan.....more lighs :D
Motherboard - now this is the problem, i wanted something like this but this is an intel board and the cheapest amd board i could find was this but it cost $70 more
Graphics Card - sweet card not too expensive
PCI Fan - ofcourse a fan with some nice lights :D
Hard Drive - 400gb for $90 is all i need
Ram - 4 gb is also enough
Memory Cooler - cheap and they help but unfortunatly no lights :P
CD/DVD Burner - a good cheap drive

So thats it  My total is somewhere from $820-900 depending on the motherboard i get. If you are too lazy to look through all the links just look at the PSU and Mobo and try to help me with that. :)

NOW what im asking for is some feedback but this is more or less what i want however if you think something will be better please let me know. ALSO i wold appreciate some help picking out a motherboard.
LASTLY is 400 Watt PSU enough for this system?

Thanks for looking and helping :)

its best to get a good mother board that will last a while, the problem with the cheaper ones there memory slots sometimes fail, pci slots fail, and other things that costs u hours of frustration. but as nix posted the dual core is not a bad thing to consider.

Well found a combo's for a cpu+mobo:

-XFX mobo+CPU
-EVGA mobo+the same CPU

the EVGA mobo is a bit better but is it really worth it? i want a pretty good system but will the EVGA board make much of a difference from the XFX?

I also have the same problem with the graphics card:

EVGA or XFX, there are both roughly the same. Which would you take?

these are the last decisions i have to make before i purchase all the part so please help me out :)
