2hand gets pretty close to xbow at times i think.
1hand eventually outdamages axes AFAIK, or their damage gets too close to the point where having the shield outweights noob axe passives that can be taken care of with pills or cleric holy word/spells.

Fudge is correct, i forgot about that 
and 2h is close to xbow, not daggers. My 2h sword is 100% crit, and i still only crit about 9k on mobs my level. when with my rogue (now hacked), i critted over 10k on mobs my level.
