Wizard sub-mastery,Bard or Cleric?

Thinking OUTSIDE of the box really confused me, i'll explain: Clerics became a very popular build over time, at higher levels you're almost guaranteed to have 1-2 Clerics in your party, unless they're total morons, its the Wizards that they will buff seeing that they're the easiest to kill build in the game, that means that most of the time i will already be fully buffed and seeing that i'm a party person, i wonder about the usefulness of taking Cleric sub as many people suggest. Yes i know it will be usefull in PvP/Jobbing/GW and FW, however Wizards are 1 hit wonders, even against a pure STR 2 nukes is usually more then enough to take out anyone, the only way someone can take me out easily if i know what i'm doing is by using a surprise attack, like a Rogue under Stealth, but i'll doubt i'll be able to survive a Rogue even with Bless on me. And Noise would be such a huge help in PvE! Without forgetting Moving/Swing March that will allow me to make quick getaways and fast moving when under Invisible.

So which should i pick? Your replies are much appreciated.

Hmm good question, i had this same problem and went Wizard/Cleric but so far it has not payed off much.

You could take bard up to around lvl 30. At that lvl you'll be joining more parties without noobs . Then untill lvl 40 you can decide which of the 2 subs you want. If you decide to switch to cleric you should do that at 39/40. If not, well, you can just go on with bard.

Yeah, costs some gold and time but maybe it's an idea in your situation...

(or just start 2 of them, cause lvl 30 ain't hard to reach with a wizzie)

Well i dont know the answer too xD but i would say: if you want the speed buff and noise, go bard. If you want to heal your self and have some good defense buff go cleric

Since you are wizard and will be highly int, go with bard. Don't worry about saving allies when your life is in constant danger. Use Moving Match and Noise to keep yourself alive.
