question about the rogue Avoid xbow passive

I was wondering, does the skill only work on long-range physical attacks or close range too.

My avoid skill is at 4% right know but i can lvl it up twice to 6% and i want to know if it's worth it.

If only long-range dmg is affected then I'll just leave it till I start grinding at taklamaken

Isn't that skill about damage absorption? So that would be 4% of the attkers total damage that you will never see. I am sure that goes for both int and phys (both long and short range)

well on the skill, it says Physical dmg absorption % and the skill descrip says long range, so if only long-range dmg is absorbed, then its not very important to me at the moment

does the avoid skill work on the Niya Snipers/Hunters? since they attack with bows?

works on all phy attacks i think

i havent really noticed getting hit harder by range attack than non range... though i cant really find one with same lvl to compare and im not going to remove it just to take a few hits without it to compare damage
