What melee character to pick?

Hello i'm totally new in this game and I wanna have European characters. I always liked melee,that's why i'm asking you which melee character is the best (sword + shield, rogue, 2 hander, 2 axes)? I know they are all good by itself if you know how to play it. But which one becomes the most useful lately? I've heard lots of good stuff about rogues too. Anyone explain a bit?

a 1 or 2 handed warrior are both good..in my opinion axes suck

check the character skills section, in my opion a full int 2hs....

1H sword sounds like it could be a fun build for you, it is a very strong build.

Personally I like rouge.. but you need to get xbow too (well, you don't need to, but it makes leveling alot easier than pure daggers)

High and fast damage for daggers, dies fast though

Good but slow damage for 1H sword, can take alot of hits

As euro chars both Rogue and warriors have alot to offer depending on the situation.

However since u said which is more useful i'd definitly Vouch for Rogue.

Warriors can tank,like hell and give defensive buffs to the team and I think they can be great at pvp too.Thats pretty much it though.No special damage,average on jobs.

Rogues however are true utility characters,they are absolutely great at hunting uniques,great at thieving/hunting and can be pretty good in both solo and party grinding.Rogues have fun skills like duplicate,invisible and the ability to use a long range weapon called Crossbow.

Not to say which is best,just try to see which one suits your needs.Considering the tone of my post I guess u can figure which one I like more.

umm In my opinion dun pick Euro maybe some of them own now but its all about the build . it's like the wizards they can 1 hit all Chinese but they can die in less that 1 skill .......
pick a sword , shield int. Chinese , Have fun ^^ .
