How do i take screenshots with Windows Vista?

I have spent many hours trying to resolve this problem.....Whenever i take a screenshot i see the computer freeze for 1 second,so i know that it takes the picture but where does it go?,and how do i get to it? all help is greatly appreciated

if its PrintScreen, then paste it into a program like paint or something

if like an SRO screenie, it goes into the Silkroad folder/Screenshots

Windows vista doesnt have paint-and ive searched for that folder,it says it doesnt exist
