So you can stand around and buff people..rofl. It's a good buff, just not useful to strengthen your own char.

Because most rogues in parties suck, so you'd be better of standing there holding the tambour. You're more useful then.

Bards are in short supply these days, and having a full STR bard that can switch to rogue when things get too hot is a nice thing to have in the party. If you want to be a bard however, you do need to have the proper bard skills, and the tambours/dances are extremely strong buffs to give.

Rogue in party doesn't necessarily have to suck (though, I wouldn't recommend more than one in a party). Use a rogue to lure mobs so that your party doesn't have to move at all. This works especially well for a full Euro party at generals.

If your build is rogue/bard and you plan to solo a lot, I wouldn't recommend getting guard tambour as you won't be using it much.

You don't wanna Mana Cycle from a pure Str character, it sucks. Beaver was up with us one day doing Tambour, and no way could he keep my mana hungry heals tamed.

Rinny, I agree with what you say, but I was also referring to the community of SRO on a whole, where almost every rogue is powerlevelled, so a rogue's true utility is never seen.

I know it's not that good to get mana cycle from pure str bard, but atleast it's something. It's far better to try than to just sit there and leech. It's like being a cleric that only gave the buffs without healing.

Being a bard as main in this SRO community where bards can be count with fingers really made me mad. Why? because everyone will think bards is a leechers and doesnt contribute much to the pt where i work my a.ss off to do my job.

For rogue with bard sub, stop trying to be bard. u're not. Just get noise and moving march for solo.

Yeah, your view is valid. True, it's better then nothing, but it's worthless on us mana guzzlers. :P

If you wanna talk about people giving you a bad name, go lecture Blink, the slacker. XD

And that's exactly why so many people think rogue sucks in a party

One rogue (with cleric sub) in a party is good, but for some other reasons than you just say. As a rogue, you'll have to make sure that especially the cleric (but also other teammembers) do not die. Offcourse the warrior is the tanker, but he can't always help it that a cleric or someone else get's mobbed. That's when the rogue comes in. For the rest of the time he just does damage on the mobs like a wiz (except that he has to select pt mobs and giants, cause otherwise there's a large chance that the mob is already dead before his attack lands because of the wizzies).
Also, when the warrior dies, the rogue can turn off XE and be the tanker for a while with bless so that the cleric can ress the warrior (or the rogue resses the warrior, just depending on how you want to do this).

Really? From my experience, that isn't so. If you have been in a good Euro party, you will understand why sometimes you need a rogue to pull in mobs. I suggest you read the following thread:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=74655

A rogue/bard sub is great as a lurer.

You don't wanna Mana Cycle from a pure Str character, it sucks.

Mana Cycle doesnt depends on how many int you have, only on weapon's magical attack and skill level

Yeah, and fast shot's range is just for making this skill better... for fast ressing is reverse oblation, rogue is mostly for pulling mobs, and cleric should be pure/hybrid str(when bard is in party)

Wrong, Int has everything to do with it. The person had a Lv60 harp, and it healed so little was laughable. I got more from a pure Int using a Lv42 harp. Do the math.

lmao i dont think man. rogues are highest damage dealers in the party im lvl 60 , and i was training at snipers with a cleric. and i can steal a gaint niya hunter very easy from a 70+ bot 8) .

everyone just hates rogues , you could have just said that

Rogues have the highest damage on a SINGLE TARGET. Parties don't need that. Parties need AoE, which wizards provide. My point of view was fomr that of a fully functional Euro party.

Ok, what about skill level? It has a lot to do with that.

I've been healed more from a pure Int with Lv3 Mana Cycle then a pure Str with Lv8. ;)
