It's proving useful, but to speed up the process I think I will take hemagoku's suggestion and post the texts here. Some discussion may help if there are difficult bits to translate.
These are basically quotes from a chinese forum. They are discussing an error we've been encountering with an application, which we've been unable to resolve to due a lack of (accurate) information. That evil little babelfish...!

GameDB报错的解决方法.
问题:
启动服务端时GameDB会报错,然后自动退出.
原因分析:
当启动到GameInfo时就会自动关闭GameDB,经多次分析得出结论是程序配置数据库权限不够造成的.
解决方法:
进入你安装mssql数据库所在位置,进入子目录找到DATA文件夹右键属性,然后选择"安全"
标签,添加"everyone"用户,权限为全权,确定关闭启动服务端.
如果没有安全这个标签请选择资源管理器的"工具"---"文件夹选项"---"查看"---去掉"使用简单文件共享"

关于GameDB启动报错的问题~~~
今天因为想测试些东西所以反复删出了数据库又装~~~
在启动游戏程序的时候GameDB报错了（以前没有报过错的）后来一看数据库被删了还没装~~~
装上后就没有在报错了``所以大家报错的请仔细检查一下数据库是不是安装错误！！！
要是数据库建立到导入都是正确的话GameDB也初始化过``那应该不会报错的```仔细检查一下
或者从新认真的装一次```还有一个问题就是看看自己的服务管理器是不是启动了的！！
我的系统是XP，正版盗版都没报错~~~CPU是AMD 3600+ 双核~~

PTPT兄报错，也是AMD看来不是CPU问题！！
可以确定不是硬件的问题了，估计问题还在数据库身上，不过我又没遇见慧慧所说的那些问题，真是奇怪！
mssql也正常启动了，数据库导入也正常。郁闷~
