Re: [COMPETITION] "THE CHRONICLES OF SRO"

Post by torinchibi »

Ecrit remains a character from Chapter 2, but for chapter 2 and 3, Snigglez used the name for another character, in Chapter 2, snigglez wrote a story where Ecrit escapes from a fire in Jangan with his friend Ling'er, and in chapter 3, because his chapter 2 wasn't selected, he wrote a story about an attack on the Karakoram dock by Yarkan's minions where he killed all of them, after which he collapsed in a cabin and zerked while on the floor saying "Ling'er..." and revealing his identity.

In a sense, after chapter 1, Ecrit was the main character of a parallel story told by snigglez and continued in my chapter even if those 2 chapters were not chosen. I liked the character and i wanted to include it into the main story. The point was to have someone tell the story of the young boy when he wakes up beside Neon and the prince. If snigglez writes a chapter this week, he might do that, and it will make perfect sense to the new people.

That is why I said, you would know who the young man was if you read snigglez' entries for the previous chapters.

WHAT! Icealya makes use of my legendary name sense and pulls off a switcheroo. (but forgets to switch Gonio with Niome in his description after the chapter)

I know I don't have photographic memory, but the only changes were spear to glaive and Niome to Gonio and vice versa. The story is just as good as it was before....it just has a cooler female name to play with, and we now have a glavier char to include in our battle scenes. 8)

No, wait! DAMN!!

the glavier IS the wounded spearman...~

can you please forgive me and my kitty?

But hey, torin, with which of the three competating chapters would you rather work?

I think mine would be the easiest (personally, no offence)
And then comes the chapter Omni wrote, you can go on with the Isyutaru story or put my story as a flash back. (what you can also do is put Omni's story after mine, and edit the end a bit that they are on their way to hotan after the 2 snowy chapters, meet up with Niome and Go on, and maybe a third snowy chapter that they ask Isyutaru's help in the battle against LY and Roc, and that Niome helps them (unsuspectedly) with befriending Isyutaru..)
And then Terminals' story, what I can say about that.
A new character, good, I can see where it is headed. He stops his thieving life to help them defeat Roc, but it is so hard to work on a character if you can't do it yourself or something like that.

I can personally work with: "And then a meteorite hit them and everyone in the world died," but I would say Terminal's chapter is the least friendly, although because of that it builds a really good personality for its character.

So far, it doesn't matter which one of the chapters wins, I can work with any of them quite easily, but from terminal's chapter I would have to do parallel stories to connect the two groups at the tournament in Hotan. That was the purpose of talking about a tournament in the first place. It will allow parallel stories because you would know where they will eventually be able to gather some of the characters.

Light shined through the windows of the cracked windows, wind blew in a soft whispering sound, and all was quiet once again. The kid's eyes opened and looked around,
"unfamilar place" he poundered.
"oh yes.. thats right.."
His eyes shifted to the bed, the bed gone but the spear remained. Panic ran through his head, and he shouted,
"HES GONE!"
As an expert warrior and assassin, Neon's eyes opened and he jumped up, only to find nothing of a threat but the boy sititng in the corner. The boy got up and grabs the spear on the ground and examines. A note pinned to one side,
"thankyou"
...
"thankyou? whats that suppose to me-"
before he could finish his sentence he noticed his own weapons were gone. Neon snatched the note and looked at it, then he exaimined the spear.
He closed his eyes and simply said,
"i understand... i shall meet u in hotan, i must go find a friend."
He bolted out the door leaving the boy confused and angry.
"My things........"
Nevertheless, he took the remaining things that were left beside him and walked out the door, a freezing wind blew past him and he shivered. He walked two steps and froze, his eyes twitched. A group of niya guards stood before him.
"oh no.. the niyas, i must have wandered near one of the portals to roc mountain."
he panicd,
"NOBODY COME CLOSE ..I..I HAVE A SPEAR AND IM NOT AFARID TO UES IT!"
Sounds of evil laughter came from all direction,
"Its the end for me.. i know it! i didnt even have a chance to redeem myself.."
Suddenly, the spear glowed in his hands, his body intensifed, he felt a overwhelming energy over him,
"whats.. going on?!"
He falls on his knees on the white soft snow, his eyes become blurred, a pain came from his heart and he screamed! His body turns red with power, the spear turns from a dented relic into a red shinning javalin.
The niyas ingore this and advanced slowly, they were right beside him now, lifting their swords and spears preparing to jab, stab and wipe him off the earth, when suddenly.
He stood up and with he swung around, knocking everything beside him away and he looked at each one of the niyas, he snickered
"useless bones."
Withing seconds each bone pieced was nothing but ash, burnt away by the flames of rage, and shocked into oblivion with the power of lightning.
A warm feeling came over him, he wobbled into the shack once again, and fell over taking a bottle of healing jug from his pocket he drank half and fell on the ground. The spear turns into a dented weapon.

... The wind howls once again, and all was quiet.

_____________

yeahh.. i think this sucks but im nto really caring .. GO ON WITH THE NEXT ONE >_>
i hav no idea what i shud say LOL.

Eh...

Loooool!!

This is what must have happened to the first kid that they found, that took their weapons and ran away later...

xD

It ends the same with him as it ended with the one from the last chapter.. dented spear, half drank potion...

xD

I was following until it looped on itself. Then I got confused, and realized what he was doing a second later. I guess the spear had the power/curse to unlock zerk. If you've read/seen Berserk, in he later chapters/episodes, he wears an armor that's possesed and makes Gatts go berserk, not feeling pain, and using his muscles to their limits.

*Kid watches neon strom in chug half a jug of hp pot and fall face down*

"Wth was that...you storm out and 10 mins later return dead tired...did he put drugs in the spear?!"

I never said it wasn't good. It made perfect sense after you've read all of it and think about it for a second (if you remember what I wrote when he was found, it will help with the connection). At first you wonder how a warrior suddenly starts using a spear, but it makes perfect sense if you realize the spear is cursed or a... "legendary weapon" with some special effect. It's fun and original, because no one would expect something like the spear as a cause of the guy's monster killing spree.

I only joked about the fast pace of the chapter, because when you read it it seems there is no pause in the events, so it feels like everything happened in 10 mins (in the time line of the story).

Well what I wanted to accomplish in my story is the introduction of a character with a slightly darker past, I gave him people to care for as well as two foes. After they arrive at Hotan, he would be more involved in the main story plot.
Nice writing guys

torin, you keep on bumpin this thread eh??

Well, I guess that the popularity of this thread rised so much because it isn't stickied anymore...

(Don't you be Duh'ing me!) I think that because of the bumps from torin and me once in a while (every day) people see it more like a ragular thread, and people start actually seeing it.

It's fun..

It's true, not many people look at the stickies once they've seen them once. So constant bumping is actually attracting more attention to the thread than a sticky.
