They probaly earn most money yeh.. but I remember there used to be an Trader Table, you could see how much goods you could put in a horse/camel/mammout and how much you would earn at any level and trade run

exactly why you should wait till atleast over 60

i agree, unless its a new server...don't even think about hunting or thiefing if your under 64. You should atleast have the 8th degree weapon. most the thiefs/hunters that you will run into are already high lvls

well i think i was lucky cause my old char was lvl 23 and had lvl 2 thief
