This hit me like a ton of bricks. If anyone famous was to pass away this year, I would have bet my shorts on Brittany Spears, but not Heath Ledger. This was just so unexpected. Only 28 years of age, an Oscar nominee.

The suspected cause of death is an accident/suicide. Police found prescription pills around his bed and on his bedstand. Maybe a bit too much? I think it was an accident, I jsut cant see how/why he'd commit suicide.


@redneck: Ledger might have been in a pretty weird movie(Brokeback), but remember that he won a grammy nomination for it and to top it all off, he is the Joker in the sequel to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight. I saw the trailers, Ledger played a badass/psychotic Joker. So he wasnt bad.
