My first sigs.

Post by Hostage »

Yup, just thought I would try making a few and decided to share with you folks ^^. First off I would like to thank HOLLAstir you helped me out by directing me towards a few render sites. I know it's a bit noob of me but I was driving myself crazy looking for renders and c4ds.

Well this is my first sig before I knew how to get new fonts or how to use anything for that matter.

...and my second sig. After reading a few tutorials, most of which were from SRF so thanks to you guys, and playing around with the tools on Ps.

I know my smudging needs some work but I thought I would at least try ^^.
EDIT: Just tried messing around with it in hopes of making it better in any aspect.Came out with this.

* also sorry BorkenSaint I kinda jacked your idea with the whole small font thing hope you don't mind*

So guys any criticism would be greatly appreciated. Anything to help my improve and also if you wish you can rate.^^

Thanks in advance

1st sig, only thing bothering me is the txt.

2nd sig, looks great. i just dont like how pixelly the bg looks (specially on the left.)

as they are, i'd rate both 7.5/10

edit: will write better criticism if needed tomorrow, sleep soon ;]

Lol, yeah I was expecting that. I think you are referring to my so called "smudging" xD. Here's the same sig without the smudging.

No problem, you have my MSN now so feel free to MSG me if you need any help with something. As for your sigs, I think they are pretty well done considering it being your 1st and 2nd time. You're definately starting off on a better foot with photoshop then I did. Keep practicing, seems like you'll pick this stuff up fairly quickly.

the second one has a little too much blurring for the bg imo and i dont really like the bars but it looks great other than that, keep practicing

The technique that you used was easy to understand and obviously you did a good job with it. But the colours and the sig overall I don't like. The colours don't go together and they hurt my eyes. Other than that It is a good piece and I will rate it 7/10. ( Mostly for technique).

Hehe, nice sigs for a starter. Just pick colors that work well together. I myself love to use loud colors.
