After travelling to America during Christmas, it made the crappy place New Zealand was seem even more crappy.

the peacocks roam everywhere because they always leave the Arboretum. I saw at least 5 today, 2 outisde my friend's house, and i saw 3 or more while going to his house.

If you have the opportunity, travel around California before you settle. Los Angeles is an awful, soulless place. If you must be in Southern California, at least check out San Diego and Santa Barbara. Even smaller coastal towns like Encinitas are better than LA.
