Ur assuming the Archer can Tank for 45 sec,even with SnowShield I severly doubt this cause in 45 Sec u will get critted against no buts and ifs.And Bless is not Snow shield,bless is far far superior.

Also keep stealth in mind when u challenge a Xbow player.That is his most dangerous weapon,Xbow gets first hit when hidden well and can wait till Snow Shield Time runs out.

Distance Shot + Kd+ KB shots =plenty to immobilize any Archer.Remember our good friends Archer don't have any KD's only KB's which get nullified during bless anyway.

if theres anyway the archer can get just out of range from the xbow, the xbow skills will get cancelled and itll seem like you're trying to wallhump the air.

if you watch pvp vids from kSRO, glaivers kill the xbow-ers by phantoming towards them as soon as they reveal themselves from stealth, then they follow it up with ghost spear. I don't see why a bowman can't do that and use arrow combo.

plus if distance shot doesn't kill, thats an added 7meters you have to walk towards the bowman cuz not all skills have distance increase.

Well i've been using distance shot when monsters were walking further away till the point of not seeying anybody on the horizon and they got killed.Thats how a murderer Wizard who killed my friend got killed i couldnt even see him so I dont think it cancels the attack once its airborn,if he runs slightly out of the range of Distance shot for example.

Sure u have to walk to the archer if he runs away,thats what the 100% speedpot is for right?=)

With bless probability is the Xbow wins,Without bless however,I will admit things will get tricky and alot of will depend on luck,crits,kd,kb etc.And this is from both sides.

yea you still kill with xbow's distance shot if theyre out of view on ur screen, but thats cuz xbows shoot from so far the draw distance '5' doesnt suffice.
youd need like draw distance 8 lol.

ill give you the bless one. But the cooldown for it hurts if theres a round 2.

to beat bowman..u need some strategy...
when u made succes to kd'ing opponent...quickly switch to xbow xtreme buff...and make intense shot+distance shot.....

if u got enuff time try 3 combo power shot+intense shot+distance shot..while they got kd'ed

To get back on the question of the topic starter; xbows and bows are pretty much equal. Besides the allready pointed out pros and cons of both builds.

What bow lacks in damage, it makes up in defence. What xbow has in damage, it lacks in defense. Both builds can pretty much kill eachother pretty damn good.

To jump in the discussion; I can kill any xbower, as they can kill me. I do not have the knockback skill yet. But if they appear and start casting, I cast. If they dont crit they die, if they crit I die.

In jobwars/guildwars as soon as you notice a stealth build, people start to pay attention. The advantage of stealth is most of the time only there for the first 1 or 2 hits. Then people know there is a stealth user there and will be on there toes. Its the same as a sun spear nuker. Deals great damage, but has no protection aka kill and run or die.

Euros are just the *next generation* chinese with there pros worked out better but also there cons worked out better.

About time you guys look into Icewall and Firewall, they are very useful against European characters such as Rogues and Wizards.

IF Xbow has cleric sub then he has both superdefence and SuperDamage temporarily making him superior to Chinese bow.When bless runs out only then there's a damage-def balance again between chinese and Euro Xbow.Now if you said Rogue/Bard then i'd say ur right but Rogue/Cleric is the Semi-Tanker Super damage dealer.Nuff said,it's all around greatness<3

Both are great builds really...
If you want to feel like an assassin go rogue.
If you want to see cooler looking moves go Chinese Bow.
If you want to really dominate go Pure Int hands and punch every one you see.

when people use icewall i just run really far away and shoot fast shots at it
it annoys them so much that they will eventually take icewall down and try to look for you lol
and if you use fast shot without CE on, they won't know how hard you can really hit when they are running up to you

My friend crossbow alone won't get the job done well. I would suggest [although you might think otherwise] To get crossbow up until 71, then lvl to 80 with Xbow still at 71. Once you do that start to farm for dagger passives [all of them] and dagger skills [starting with prick ending with butterfly blow] Have a nice day

Xbow might then have some advantages, but no buils is generally superior. The game is to balanced for that. Yes I agree, with those buffs the xbow is strong, very strong. But they dont last very long. Bow has other advantages, such as the icewall/firewall. Shield, snowshield, with a bit of bicheon we can get the shieldfan. Etc etc. I love bow and can defend it till infinity, you seem to love xbow and prob am able to defend it till infinity also. In the end both builds have pros and cons and it is up to the players to make the most of it.

Is it really fair to consider a Bowman vs Xbow pvp without considering dagger skills though? I saw something interesting last time I spent some time on kSRO. Xbows were using knockdown skills then instead of following them up with down attacks, they followed them up with dagger desperation and prick on stand up. Because of the lag time between standing up and being able to attack again...the prick could get off before even a 5 arrow combo had time to stop it. And anyone who pvp's on the regular knows +7 dagger+prick is usually synonymous with death.

Yup, don't start off a battle with Crossbow Extreme. If you can lay a KD, then switch to it and finish them off.

I think that's why most people here are assuming Archer would win, not all Rogues use CE alllllll the time. I know I dont.

recently im pvping w/o bless spell (cuz many ppl sayin that im bless spell noob,euro sh*t, euro weak noob...)

pvpin against bowman is pretty hard cuz he dun need to use his strongest skillz to kill rogue/cleric he can use only kbs and stun skillz and thats enough for xbow+bard but it dosent work on rogue/clerics cuz i can cast healing cycle and heal my self from time to time...

i found a good and very easy way to pwn bowman w/o using bless spell...

when fight starts use healing cycle and wait till u get 1st hit (strong bow/anty devil/zerk arrow) after that u use hurrcane shot if u succed on kd switch to daggers->DD->scud->mortal wounds->butterflyblow/prick if he will start running fast switch to xbow+xtreme -> distance shot fight is over its almost 100% succesful technique :>

if. u have only xbow skillz than start pvp w/o xtreme if u succed on kd cast xbow xtreme then intense shot->power shot->hurricane shot->intense shot (those skills helps u to avoid getting any hits) technique is pretty good but its more risky cuz u count on kbs and kds if u fail u can get crted and die... in 1st technique u dun risk anything cuz when u kd the enemy u kno the fight is over :>

no warrior buff... and bow can use another mastery... it can use a lot more masteries too
bow's kb skill is faster than xbow
why would bow use icewall when they almost died? use it at start

i know i said xbow would do well... but you dont have to make bow seem that bad either
