You mentioned specific classes, not the party on a whole. Because oh yes, mentioning the cleric, the wizards, , the rogues and warriors briefly constitutes as an entire party. Where's your mention of bards and warlocks?

euro party weakness = kill the cleric, not that hard. I cant comment on fw on your server cuz I dont play there. You have to know that even tho your ahead in lvls now, you can't keep that pace to 80 and they will overtake you, and when they do, they will have more gold aka better gear. My comment about euros is a statement, not sure where you are going with that as I said as much in the post. If the botters dont com well on your server its cuz their newb, cuz most of the "pro" botters havent left their home server.

They're ebating us in levels actually. They have a fair few capped characters, and some are farming. We've killed every 80 they've thrown at us; hell, even one of our 5x rogues killed a Lv80. You rementioned the botting Euros, so I thought it reasonable to state that. About the botters we face, big bot unions from Xian and Alexander came to challenge us. Both of which we've sent scampering.

You statement about more time = stronger character? Wrong. May be stronger in stats and skills, but won't be stronger in PLAYER SKILLS. Now you may argue "oh, it's such a simple game blah blah blah" but you still don't understand the complexity of a Euro party, so I'm merely talking to a brick wall about that.

While I do agree having more legit servers would be good, I think proving we can band together in one and scare the bots off is a good morale boost for the community on a whole.

1. There's nothing complex about this game.
2. Newbs are newbs, whether they bot or not.
3. Ive played euro enough to know that yes, clerics are the lifeblood of a euro party. If your facing decent opposition and they go down, so does your party.
4. You still seem to be under the assumption that this is a skill game, its not.

I so totaly agree with you Lixiae... this game is no skill needed ... Guild Wars (MMORPG) is the only MMORPG yet that needs skill and teamwork .. Silkroad is really crappy game by tactic..

Agree to some degree but not all.
I admit botters are not dumb people, they think as well, however by playing your character in a legitimate way you can understand your character better. Its basically taking more time to work with your character, recently I found the quality of powerleveled characters have a lack of instinct in pvp, because I found that they don't understand the limits of their character.


OT: Its great to see guilds and unions taking a stand together on a server many will say you guys a fighting a losing battle, but I am sure with enough dedication you guys will succeed. Show JM what you can do.

Really? FAR Greater? My charactor was the 3rd person out in Jangan when Xian opened. I've played on a maxxed out glavier,bower,spear,blade,sword,2h,1h,axe,bard,cleric,warlock,wizard. Only thing I never tried was Rogue.

I've seen every bot there is, from the beginning with macros, to today and the little bot kiddies who think they're hot. You might have seen how euros are on old/new servers, but Venus is different. Come by, make a level 1. We have been training at the niya general/royal gaurd spawn since we were level 64. Come by and watch us. THEN tell us if we are just mashing 1234, or not and if it takes any skill. Watch us kill Yarkan in 10 minutes with 8 people, most of who are only lvl 64. Tell us if the game doesnt involve skill. Watch us in full npc gear non pimped wipe out fully 80 bots in castle seige, tell us if it doesnt take skill. When you walk into a battlefield, you see the enemy, and a gun in your hand. While you blindly shoot at him, a trained soldier would see that theres an explodable tank nearby, rocket launch it and blow em up. Common Sense? Yes. To the untrained eye? No.


Lixae, until you have actually grinded up a euro in a euro party to 80, you are ignorant the the facts and cant really argue. Anything you say will just be assumptions, not facts. You gotta see it to believe it, but you obviously wont for one reason or another, whatever your excuse is. (Most common one is that your little sister from iraq was playing your computer, stick with that one it seems to work)

and I think it's better to come join the war on Venus, new legit blood is always welcome, if anything this will be the model for new upcoming servers, therefore, let's crush the botters and make sure it stays a legit owned server.

As for all those posts about euro parties and how Lix is very stubborn~, technically it is related, if you guys are going to make legit servers Euro parties are essential as they are our main weapon against defeating bots.
So I suggest all of you doubters and haters of euros, actually go join a real euro party or join one of these new servers and find out what it's like because people Like Lix who say taking out the cleric is easy... must have faced some sh1t parties.

you guys should read the posts about euro parties because if Hera does become a legit server I'm sure 9/10 of you don't know the first thing about euro parties and will need as much help as you can get.

On topic, get together at least 20+ active people who can play 3 hrs a day before starting on a new server. Without a main party, you wont get very far. Its been about 60 days since Venus came out, and we are finally hitting around 80, so expect to buy at least 2 premium/sp tickets to hit 80 on Hera. 3 hours a day grinding on mobs 11 levels higher then you is all it takes. Some more tips:

1> Try to keep your party levels the same. Dont "race to be the best" like chinese players, race to be the best on your whole party.

2> Train on mobs 11 levels higher then the lowest person in your party.

3> Ventilo/TS is a must

4> Get the first castle seige. Once you get it, everything changes Trust me on this one

5> Dont give the bots any respect. They will either quit off, start over and become legit, or be overpowered.



Hope you guys can start a 2nd legit server, although it would take a larger effort then a few people....

....Still waiting for Hera to open. I would have gone on venus and rolled with the avalons, but I missed my chance in catching the first wave. Hera doesn't seem to be coming out though and I am getting a little bored, so I guess that means I will continue on venus...because i already made a lvl 10 warrior a month ago.


As for the bots can be euros, the power of euros is teamwork, and having partied for a long time at generals i can tell you we've had plenty of botters in our parties. The first 3 hours decide their fate, they either, a) are too tired to play 3 hours by hand....we had some people giving up after 15 mins. b) don't know what they are doing so we spend 3 hours teaching them how to play their char.... c)don't know what they are doing, and they don't listen to advice either, so they never get invited again or they just get kicked if we find someone better.

Sure, you can have 100 bots being level 80 while you only get 20 legits to be level 80, and unfarmed, but the euros can get their main mastery farmed to 80 with 0 gap, and they won't need to farm for the subclass if they always party with 7 other people that have different main masteries. Switching doesn't happen often in a euro party, and when it does it's a sub cleric rezing/blessing, or sub bard using speed, and that's about as far as it goes. So let the bots farm away, let there be 100 bots vs 20 legits, it won't make a difference when they are running around like headless chickens, and get slaughtered 1 by 1. Don't believe me? Watch 300, the movie.

hmmmm if I was a bit more active, I'd create a new character in Venus and join you guys. Sadly, I barely have any time for this game lately. Just an hour or two a week (maybe) to get a meager amount of exp for my Chinese blader on Venice.

There is definitely some skill required in this game. Maybe not a HUGE amount of skill, but skill nonetheless. Button smashing can only get you so far. While you're busy smashing buttons, people with more skill kill you because they know how to work as a team and know the limits of their own character through experience.

the reason i made this post was to say something about euro parties.

warriors put fence and quota on a cleric. the cleric is taking 55% less phys/mag damage from quota, and 55% less from fence. no chinese build in sro, even in zerk, can take down a fully buffed cleric. should they try to gangbang the cleric, i cast my screens on the cleric, giving them an instand 1k phys and 2k mag defence boost.

with an 8 people pt, 2/3 warriors, the weakest targets are the warriors themselves! in order to take down the pt, you MUST take down the warriors first. if you do not know this, it is because your on an older server with 90% chinese chars and no real euro teamplay.

now take botters biggest excuse for botting. "we r havz reel lifez". that means they are "active" for a short time per day. i am active around 7-8 hours a day on sro. out of those hours i spend around 2-3 in a party, and the rest on pullmylink / tvlinks / vid-stream watching movies. it is HARD to form a full party without having people leave for rl reasons even with a group of super active players. no bot guild will ever have a real 100% functioning euro party. come to venus, prove me wrong, and ill give you 100mill.

as a euro, you get from 1-60 in about a month with no ticket 3 hours a day active leveling. by 64, your euro pt makes a huge difference to any guild and can fight level 80 chinese chars with no problem.

if any of you wish to make a legit server, go for it. it can be done. its easy to do. i hope Hera will be a legit server. good luck. should you fail, there is plenty of room in venus for even 10 more legit unions. i look forward to the day avalon gets our asses wooped by a better stronger legit union. then, and only then, will my job on venus be compleat.

Well I wasn't intending to. But when people start going on about how 'legits may be winning now, but bots will win in the end' it kind of annoys me about how ignorant people can be to that fact.

So I apologise to people who got the wrong message about everything, seeing I was focusing on Euro parties for majority of my posts. But that probably got lost with the words 'Venus', 'Avalon' and 'legit' with a lot of things. But I don't care anymore really. I've tried to help, but I might as well not even try it seems.

this is where i disagree with you. What the avalon union has done, has never happened to any other server in sro history. And making a legit server is actually insanely hard. This is because when most people join a new server, they are not coordinated and they have the attitude, "if this doesnt work out..ill just go back to my old server." With this is mind...the legit union is ALREADY bound for failure. Although I really want to join Hera, as of now, with the current planning I think that Hera will be just another bot infested server.

I think the reason why Avalon dominated Venus, is because the base of the Avalon union is a large group of friends, that will never abandon each other. They move servers together and stay in a server together unconditionally. They are active, and they coordinate pt grinds together. And this is the base every successful union needs. Hera is lacking this..and so it will fail.
