Ever heard of a game called chess? It has a much shorter learning-curb than Silkroad Online. There's a total of seven pieces in chess, and they all do one action each. Does this mean chess is very easy to master? No. Chess is in fact, a very hard game to master. It requires loads of adapting and strategical thinking.
Silkroad Online introduces the Europeans. They require teamwork to flourish. You have a total of six classes for the Europeans, with a total of eight weapons to wield. All have supporting and attacking skills to help one another in battle. You need to know when, what, and where to cast your skills. (When to heal. When to cast shield. When to use attacks. When to fall back. When to revive. Etc.)
The problem with, "everyone! swarm the cleric" being a bad idea, is because you're disregarding the damage dealers. Leaving them alone for so long would be the death of you and your party. Therefore you need to disrupt the damage dealers, so you and your party can take out the life source. Within the defensive lines is the warriors, who give a huge amount of defense buff, which means: invulnerable cleric. Then, you have to destroy the warriors, but it won't be easy with the cleric always healing. Which is why, you need to disrupt the cleric to stop the healing, so you can destroy the warriors. In mean time, you need stay together, otherwise, a rogue may take you out without risk of himself being double teamed.
This is only just one of many scenarios within a battle against a party of Europeans. War is chaotic.
Sorry but I stopped reading after you compared sro to Chess. Ridiculous comparison.
*edit* read the rest of your post...like I said, kill the cleric. But thanks for rambling on about one way to do so.
