could someone post the link for the silkroad private server if theres one or if theres on in developpement

That's against SRF Rules to post links to Private servers since its against Joymax's ToS :wink:

What is the purpose of a private server?

Cause I picture that as a server totally empty for me alone =|

From what I know private servers have the ability to tweak exp rates as well as things like item drops/gold drops/etc which can accelerate the grinding and other aspects of game play. Also GMs of private servers may do random events much more often than you would find in the normal game. The idea of playing on a private server never interested me but I suppose those would be reasons for people to want to play on them.

yes the important thing is a server not run by JM

there was one called engy engine but its actually a hoax, there is sremu which is in development and its being run by ppl who hate how JM treats us so the point is to have no bots and no stupid SP farming (Good Gameplay)

No because there is GM's online 24/7 on a private server to ban botters (if it is not against the private servers rules).

SP farming isnt cheating, its just a way to help people gain SP faster. Remember that they also don't level up as quickly as sort of a sacrafice. As for the bots, Joymax obviously isn't going to do anything about it, so it would be nice if there were a server without bots...(as if... they will always be there :banghead:

1 - Exp rate increase/decrease
2 - SPs rate increase/decrease
3 - Drop rate increase/decrease
4 - Custom map creation
5 - Custom monsters (HP, defense/attack power, names, etc)
6 - Custom graphics (NPC, playable characters, monsters, objects). If provided the edited pk to all the players. Those who use a normal one will only see the original monster.
7 - Custom Features (tons of things you can script and code, tons of ideas to come)
8 - Custom defene and attack on equipment and weapons/shield.

Etc.

Anything new yet?

The reason I want one is that is want to get to the highest levels with the weaker characters,

the crappy builds, test out the skills. See the monsters. Be rich, lol

all the stuff that takes time in the real game....
not that the real game is TOO hard.... but to be honest i dont have the will power to sit down long enough to get my lvl 48 guy any higher, and ill never make other weaker characters

Basically, its not a "Private" server... its a "Lazy A$$" Server
