Installing SRO Problem

When I try to install SRO, I get this "Please Wait..." Sign for an incredibly long time. And then, suddenly, they say that the client can only be used after the Legend II Update. How can i fix this problem? I already tried many different download sites (SRO.net, gamershell, filefront,etc.) Please Help =) (I want to play SRO immediately with my friend that also has this problem xD)

well have you ever downloaded sro before the legend II patch? or is it going to be your first time downloading?

Well...I've played it a REALLY long time ago and didn't download the patch BEFORE the legend II update so...what should i do? =) (So we can say that it's like the first time download for me)

hm.. if you give me some time when i come back from school, i'll have a further look into that because i've seen a problem like yours previously before so just give it some time. i'll help look for how to solve it. until then, wait till i'm back from school or just wait and other srf'ers will help you out

First, make sure you have

1.Downloaded the latest client (but I guess you did)
2.When installing, make sure you have connection with the joymax servers. (This can be checked by going to their website and see if it comes up. If it doesn't keep trying untill it comes up).The installer also gives the "Can only install after legend II update" message, when it can't contact the joymax servers.

but...it says "This is a client file that can be used after the LegendII update" and it doesn't install...so...i dunno =S. For the website, it works all the time

i'm guessing you can try downloading the old sro patch from filefront that was b4 the Legend II update and then try downloading the one on silkroad's main site? that might work

Edit: Ahhh. I found it =) the SilkroadOnline_GlobalOffi1.exe. let's hope it works xD

REedit: Ahhh!!! it doesn't work it...it says This client can be used after the Europe Update...

i had a similar problem once. i just deleted everything sro related in my c: drive (except the screenshots) and reinstalled it and it worked.

I think i found a way to do it.

I installed the OLDEST Sro. Then, using the SRO in download.com (cause it's labeled SilkroadOnlinevGlobalOfficial_v1_138.exe) i install it. So...I think this should work because my friend who had the same problem did this and can play now =D. Soooo, let's hope it works for me xD

Edit: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it doesn't work! T_T

what do you mean delete the old one? which one? =S (the 1.138?...it never installed ...says this client can be used after the legend2 update blablabla...)

We got the Legend 2 update. So that installer should work normally...

Just tried it...doesn't work...it says: "This client can be used after the Legend2 Update"...and then there's only the ok button which makes it close...

i got some kind of problem.

And it's similar. When i install the latest client it just simple said Temp folder error.



Any idea?

after I downloaded that file it said it was corrupt and when I extract it if only extracts a folder of pictures and stuff...

where can I find a site that hosts the newest client that is not corrupt besides the sro homepage (won't let me log in)

raymbownd i had EXACT same problem

go to ur firewall disable all firewalls and stuff and then go to thr site and download their link to it the Silkroad online download P2P file and once u download that (should take longer than normal one) it will say that please wait sign for very long time then go to the installer. I had the exact same problem and did that to fix it i hope it works for you

*Didn't try it yet but asking* Do I also have to download the OLD sro? or only the P2P one? Please answer quickly xD
