For recording you can use Fraps. Its the best program I know... There`s also GameCam but Fraps is much better. For editting your video, you can use Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas and some other programs. Dont think that Fraps is a 3rd party .. >.>

if i was you, i would use fraps because it has good quality compared to other ones

Capture with Fraps.
Since you're probably new to this, you can start with Windows Movie Maker. If you want to go advance, go for Sony Vegas. If that is still insufficient for you, escalate it to Premiere + After Effects.

I use the full version of Fraps to record (it's very good quality) and Windows movie maker to edit. =)
