Question on graphics cards
Hey everyone I was planning on buying an nvidia 8800 GT 512 MB from evga soon but since I've seen the recent nvidia roadmap that they released at the CES 2008 I am deciding if I should hold off. They will be releasing a 9800 GT to replace the current 8800 GT in March-April. Looking at the performance increases in general from the 8xxx to the 9xxx series I would say this card would be 10-15% faster then the current 8800 GT so it would perform very similar to the 8800 GTX. But this is just my assumption. Anyone knowledgable on this kind of stuff offer some advice on whether I should hold out or not. Btw they are also releasing a 9600 GT in Febuary but in performance they said it will be faster than the 8600 GTS but slower than the 8800 GT and will be pried $150 or so if I remember correctly. But I don't want to downgrade I need the performance of 8800 GT or better for like $275 max. So can anyone offer advice

register it online. Then you get a 90 days to step-up. So if you buy it soon in less then 90 days the 9800 xxx will be released and step-up.

All your answers should be there.
