When to buy a wolf?

I'm a pure str glaiver, and while I don't even have close to the fiscal ability to purchase a wolf, I'd like to know when it would be ideal to get one.

sooner the better.
if you don't have the financials now,
do you have any high lvl friends who would
either just buy you one OR get repayment when you can?
are you in a guild? sometimes GMs will buy pre-lvled wolves
when asked to. so you start out with say a lvl 18 wolf instead of 5.
but remember just like equipment if it is a higher lvl than you
you can't use it.

When you have close to 1.5 million gold. I say that number in particular because that way you'll have some extra money, for potions for your wolf and yourself, and for a grass of life in the event that your wolf dies.

I think it's a good idea to buy a wolf. Extra damage is always welcome.
If you keep an eye on it, it won't die much, and especially in the lower levels, it'll level up quite fast, so you do not need to buy tons of hunger potions for it, as the HGP bar is 100% again each time it levels up.

I'd say from 25-30.
Just because around that time you will get tons of drops so you should have enough money & sro experience to support it.
Make sure you level it before taking him to Earth Taoists. >__>

the earlier the better...wolves become very useful when they are in or near your character level...but if you can find a high level wolf being sold at later levels, you can consider waiting then...^^

the sooner the better. Having a wolf that is 30 some levels behind you doesn't do much good, and buying high level wolves is expensive

So what exactly can a wolf do to help you and how are you supposed to get enough money to buy one during the lower levels?

25-30 because you'll be able to keep it alive until it catches up to you and can keep fighting the same monsters you were before

Thanks, I play on Neptune, and I don't think I'm looking to move yet. I'm now level 18 and I have close to 350k gold. So I'm working my way up.

Thanks for your help, I'm still lost as to when I should buy SoS or anything like that.

I had a wolf on my old character and he's lvled to lvl 23 so when I started my new char I need to wait to sue him as I need to be lvl 23 first. Wolves can come in handy at times. When my Guild Leader Plvls, his wolf can go and kill Ongs by himself for that extra push and his lvl 55 wolf can also be useful because he deals 1100 dmg alone. so add that to your kills =D good stuff! Again, buy it when you are financially able. Get to 1.1 mil or 1.50 mil and buy one, just save money for pots, ect.

help you kill quicker and at high lvls be able to tank cause wolves have huge hp

unless you have money at low lvl, buy them a little later. You can find great deals for lvl 20-30 wolves pretty cheap, just be patient
