Does anyone know how the Zerk build up is done?

Is it the level of mob's that factor in? Or a total amount of things you kill?

Seem like you could kill like 100 low lvl mobs and get no dots.

But ya kill 10 of your same lvl and get a dot, sometimes 2 or 3 in a row.

Seems horribly random.

Like when I would go for TG at level 34 I'd kill a few bandit archers(Level 12) to finish off my zerk gauge.

But just now at level 22, I was killing Selene's Lions(Level 19) and I was getting a zerk dot every few kills.

It's random, there's times you get zerk fast, there's times you don't. I had a new character on Neptune, it didn't get zerk till level 6.

Get a warlock, zerks every 20 mobs

its actually not random.
if you get zerk but dont use it for a while, your NEXT zerk will build up fast. Thats how I manage to double zerk uniques.

i don't think its random because warlock gets zerk a lot faster than other characters when i was in a party someone pm'd me "how many zerk scrolls do you have" because i used 3 zerks in the same time they used 1

how fast uget zerk is based off your SP gain, i could be wrong but it seems logical...

....You guys do realize there is something that increases zerk chance by 20% from the honor buffs. That means zerk isn't random but it's chance based. That also means the more you kill the faster you get zerk. It is not based off of sp gain, and you will notice that in a share party where the wizard will always have zerk for the party giant, the warrior will too and the cleric almost never gets zerk at the same speed.

You should also know that a wizard and a warlock get zerk almost at the same time. Wizard does it by killing more, warlock does it by killing a little less, but with 6x the "hits".

From that, zerk is probably affected by quite a few factors so as to balance the amount of zerk chars get...since if it was based on kills like 1 orb every 10, wiz would always have it first, and if it was based on hits, 1h/axe warrior or blader will have it first..through combos.

I'm pretty sure you can earn zerk on three different ways

1. By hitting
2. By being hitten
3. By killing

The third way has a higher chance. Warlocks get their zerks from the first way. The second one seems a lot more rare to happen.

I have obtained zerk after scrolling into town..so is "time" a factor in it also?

heres how mine works,

if i kill blue monsters i get zerk stuff much faster and not depeneding on how many i kill.
if i kill green monsters i only get some every 30 or so kills.
if i kill monsters my lvl i barely get any except if its giant or pt
if i kill ornage monsters i get none except for giant and or pt
if i kill red ones i dont get any, never got one from a red monster

yes the Master Honor Buff gives you a 20% chance too gain a FULL zerk Gage from one monster as for people who don't have it have a 20% chance to get an orb of a monster.

Think about it logically.

The more times you get hit by an opponent/mob the more pissed you're going to get you know?


So it would make sense that the hits you take will be a factor in getting zerk.


And think of zerk is you get hella pissed and decide to go crazy and rape.
