2 Hand Warrior / Bard Weapon Switch

Post by gprodigy »

How do you do it? I noticed it said must use a harp or rod to do the spell. For example heal.. Do you have to switch weopons to use the spell from Sword to Rod? Any macro capabilities? What are your methods?

Yeah you always have to switch weapons. It's easy if you stick the weapon on a skill bar with the skill right next to it. Since you are probably a bard, you should only need your harp once every few minutes for noise and moving march. Keep a level 1 harp with you.

EDIT: My subclass is cleric. I put my cleric rod and my skills on the secondary skill bar and spam them when I need bless spell and healing (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) and then I switch back to warlock rod with 1. This is what my skills look like.

How do you get your toolbar to show more than one row of skills? Is there a hotkey or check box to click?

Also, do you have to hit F2, F3, F1 to get the skills to show up for each bar?

"Armor & Robe cannot be equiped at the same time"

So do you need to swap everything out to cast a heal?

No, all you need is a level 1 cleric rod/harp to carry around at all times. You don't need any robes to cast heals or buffs. The second and 3rd row of skills is the transparent skill bar. You have it somewhere on your screen. It's like a pop up menu. When you need to use the skills you hold space bar and press numbers to activate them.

There are 2 shortcut bards, so those extra rows are from the floating shortcut bar. Shortcuts used with space + #.

As for healing, you should never use a level 1 rod once you actually heal, since all healing spells use weapon magic attack to add to healing power. Always use the latest rod you can have. That way, even level 1 heal will give you 2k HP with a level 72 +3 rod.
