Windows XP Skins

Anyone got some cool skins / themes for windows xp? IM tired of mine, and when i google it...loads of virus infested sites

My anti virus went crazy scanning files before downloading....

use deviantart.com - they have the biggest and best collection of skins for XP and associated applications.

Even if they don't contain viruses most of them will slow down your computer a lot.

I advise you to stick with your old and boring theme.

My computer is rather fast, even with skinning. I would suggest you don't use anything like windows blinds, that's an extra process that takes up resources. Use a real skin, one that just replaces the images that would be displayed anyways; to use those kinds of skins you will need to run this.

Also, things like object docks, rainlendar, etc. also take up extra resources.

If you want to skin without compromising your computer's performance, do it properly.

edit: my necromancer's name in guildwars was vindicator....Teacup Vindicator.

From my own experience it slowed down my computer. But dom is good with computer stuff. Listen to him.

Just make sure you know what you are doing.

@dom deviantart is a sweet place, but after i finsihed browsing, I couldnt find skins for the life of me :banghead:

Back in the day, couple years ago when I did a lot of freelance work, I remember the guy who made the media player skin on "invader" posted his concept for that thing looking for c&c.

So many styles to choose O my. Right now I have the Zune theme. sexy
