Those are cumulated buff points, not honor points.
You ONLY recieve honor points once you graduate your apprentices.
Cumulative/Accumulative buff points are extra exp.

1. Cumulated Buff
When an apprentice under a guardian starts hunting, a cumulated buff icon will be activated on the top left corner of the screen. Fixed rate of obtained experience points through hunting will be cumulated. For cumulated buff that has passed 24 hours, experience points will not be additionally cumulated. (Will be cumulated again after dividing into accumulate buff) Cumulate buff will be deactivated when dividing into accumulate buff even before 24 hours. When you start hunting after tranfering to cumulate buff, new cumulate buff icon is appeared os that you can collect cumulate points when using accumulate points.
2. Accumulate Buff
When an apprentice clicks the cumulated buff with left mouse button to 'transfer' the guardian gets an accumulated buff, which corresponds to 20% of cumulated buff, and the apprentice gets an accumulated buff corresponding to 80% of cumulated buff, which will be activated at top left corner. (Guardian cana receive overlapped accumulate buff from all of apprentice.) Once accumulate buff is activated, 10 points are taken out per 1 monster simultaneously with additional 10% of experience points are applied. Accumulate buff will disappear when you all of accumulate buff points.
i dont get how this works.. so how do i power level people ?

so i got on my euro, grinded 1k Cumulative points, i then left clicked it, and it went to my chinese level 80 char, i grinded all the points down on my chinese 80 char, then it disappears? so where do i get my exp from?
I've got all 4 buffs on my char. If it helps, 4 apprentices have graduated from my academy, with 2 currently still in. I've got 2 assistant guardians as well. I'm ranked 2nd on honor ranks in server.

what do you gain from the assistant guardians, and what do they gain?

You lose the buff and then you can use the blue buff again.
but i dont seem to notice both of my chars getting any extra exp
You do get more exp, if you normaly get 1000 exp you should get with the red buff 1100 exp, same for skill experience. Pet experience is not affected. :/
