What I don't understand is why PM you? Shouldn't the public be aware of what is going on? Or is it easier for you to ban us without others knowing through PMs? Come on SG you see the frustration. People are telling you their problems and you are ignoring them! MrFudge wouldn't have had to go nuts if you all wouldn't be doing something wrong.

please, understand what i am driving at. there are over 40k registered users here, 10k+ of which are active daily. hundreds of new topics a day, and thousands of new posts. a very small handful of people are dissatisfied. i am sorry that you are dissatisfied. but this is NOT the way to fix things. i cannot impress that upon you enough. i WILL not be bullied into doing things your way, nor will i allow my mods to be. if you have suggestions, complaints, criticisms, etc., i am reachable, i am reasonable, and i try my best to accomodate every poster on this board. if your ideas, criticisms, etc. are more than just "ZOMG so-and-so locked my topic, bad mod, fire, burn, kill kill kill!!!", they will be addressed, and action will be taken.

Do you know why he lost it? I made a topic about why the mods get mad. At first it was a 1/2 joke 1/2 real thread but turned into this. But it was quickly locked and for what reason?

A lot of us are angry. There are complains about spammers, flames. We accuse eachother of botting, scamming, we insult people with a different build, with a lower level, and what not.

You're angry at the mods because they lock certain topics, you get angry because they ban people.
But if they don't do anything it's not right either. Why cant Karlos post a thread about what he did in SRO today? You guys rather read another 'Why SRO totally sux and why Joymax is shit'-thread?

Who says the quality of SRF lies in the hands of the staff? Most of you guys all want to be mods, to make SRF better.
But you don't need a mod tag, an admin tag, or even ultra super leet mod/admin powers to make SRF a better place.

If we just respect each other, accept that some people like a specific build or are proud that they archived something others might find retarded. Instead of starting flames, why not say something friendly instead?
If we just try to respect each other more, the staff doesn't have to hurry up and lock a thread because they already see a flamewar coming. If we can just discuss things about the game we (once) all liked in a friendlier way, SRF will definitely improve so much. Why should we only look at our differences? Why should we only approve of our way of doing things, whether in SRO or IRL, instead of trying to see it from someone elses point of view?

We can all at least try to make SRF a better place.
But if nobody wants to give it a try it'll never work out.

BUT DON"T WORRY! there's an unlock button. we can fix it. just CALMLY, rationally, MATURELY PM us and say "hey, i think you misinterpreted my thread's intent, let me explain what i meant" rather than "ZOMG U SUCK, U LOCKED MY THREAD< EVIL MOD BASTARD!!"

I mods. It seems like, since the start of December or so, they've been worrying less about their personal reputation for being nice guys and been more keen on getting the dirty work done. Good work girls; it shows.

I've PMed SG a lot, mostly bitching on how "dissatisfied" I am, and he always tries his best to get stuff fixed. The key to fixing things is not to stir the pot of shit.
