Problem With Bloom Effect
Problem With Bloom Effect

Hey dude. Don't worry, your not the only one with this problem. I am running a nVidia 8800 GTS and have the same problem.
Heres what the Bloom effect is:
Bloom (sometimes referred to as light bloom) is a computer graphics effect used in computer games, demos and high dynamic range rendering (HDR) to reproduce an imaging artifact of real-world cameras. The effect produces fringes (or feathers) of light around very bright objects in an image.
Now, here is what I did. Set up your graphics to High and apply. The world will go seethrough and blank. Go to Bloom Effect and turn it off. Then play and see if lag occours. If lag does not cease within a minute, turn Shading either to circle or off. Lag should be gone.
Technically, you don't NEED Bloom Effect, it would be nice. But what can we do. I will however be experimenting to see if there are fixes for this. If I do find a cure, I'll post a new topic and PM you with the topic link. As for now, live with what you can my friend.
Note: The reason SRO lags with the high options if because its an MMORPG. More processes than the game itself are going through your computer. ESPECIALLY if the server is crowded, if doing anything in mass (battles in pvp) I strongly recommend setting to either 'Low' settings or the SRO preset 'mass battle'(or something like that) This might prevent your deaths ect.

Yes it does lag with the high graphic settings, but after last update we now have 2 profiles for graphics, set one low, set one high, I use the high when i'm at my training area, and before I go town, I usually set it to low.. and about the lag, when I play on high without Bloom Effect and I than turn it on I do have lag for a min.. but than it's over and everything is smooth.BandytaPL wrote:Hey dude.
