Question about wizard
I was thinking about making one but what is the best subclass for it? And if you think a wizard with any sub class sucks then which class/subclass do you prefer? Thanks afterwards.

Okay ... so let see ....
Bard:
You take Moving/Swing March (90% extra speed at lv.80) and
Noise (Attacking prevention) ... In my opinion you should take bard ...
Speed + Teleport = fast moving / copy of chinese
You need noise coz you will get hitted pretty much by everything ....
So its better to hit first .... IMO take Bard
Cleric:
We got here Bless (Extra High Defense for 45 sec // you can use it for times when giant appears) then
Recovery Division (regenerates your hp by random amount in random interivals) ,
Healing Cycle / Orbit ( regenerates your hp for 16 seconds , each second some amount of hp), Faith (needed for some skills)...
Why I think cleric isnt good? Okay... you are pretty much one hitted without Bless ...
Bless recharging time is 2minutes and it last on you for 45 sec. So I think we can kick already healing cycle / recovery division out
coz it wont have enough time to regenerate hp ...
Conclusion: If you wanna make serious PvPing take Cleric ...
but IMO Bard > Cleric big time ...

I suggest taking bard, i'm lvl 69 wiz/bard. u get the speed which is awesome advantage for running away from giants
good str and hp increase on ur armor can help u not get killed 1 hit , thus survive longer. also u can even think on spending some str points on lvl up (not too much though, or you'll ruin the char:P) the dmg from ur spells will still be immense, and you wont believe how much u'll find urself with 150hp after killing a mob, u wouldn't get without those hp points.

Rofl... if you can tank with a wizard, why wouldn't you? It makes perfect sense to have a tanking subclass on a dmg dealing mastery since you get to play both roles. I would pick warlock over bard any day, bard sub is just useless in PvP...you are either a bard or you are not, wiz/bard is like a nonexistent PvP build, you pretty much ahve nothing to support your wiz with a bard class, unlike cleric where you can not only tank and be support, but you also get huge advantages to aid your wizard class.
You really can't run away from giants since they outrun even tiger mounts, might as well bless and kill them. Unless you realize the aggro reduce bard attack exists...but no one ever does.

Wizard is not meant to withstand too much hits, wizard is kill him before he kills u. i'm not a big PVP fan, the build i'm talking about is meant for fast and fun lvling. but when I do pvp, the story usually ends in one spell, and if it's a job or a party, i always have the cleric to give me the defense buffs i dont have from my build. and about giants things. u are welcome to come and see me with the 70% speed run away from niya hunter giant, cause after u run from them for some time they start walking instead of running, so i maybe suffer 1 or 2 hits, enough to survive if i have earth barrier on me.
im a wizzard lvl 80 with cleric sub-mastery.
Lets think, wizzard low hp low phy defense... so what you really want? add an extra defense to your char or run like a headless chicken with 90% speed?

First, I'm going to say that I'm fairly sure you aren't even a Wizard/Warlock yourself. Secondly, Wizard/Warlock is crap especially when you figure out the your whole build is ruined when you come up to anyone with Holy Word/Spell. And finally, When you are trying to put your status' up on my Glavier teammate who has Holy Spell(Or even if he doesn't have it), I'll 1 hit you with my Wizard/Bard then run away from your Glaviers and then 1 hit them too after my Glaviers get to them.

For PvE Wizard/Bard is better than Wizard/Cleric. And in PvP if you will die to Glaviers who use Emporer + Ghost Spear on you while you have Bless Spell on there really isn't a point to be Wizard/Cleric other than using Wizard to level a Cleric for PvP. Plus a dedicated Cleric will keep you healed alot better than you can keep yourself alive with Recovery Division + Bless Spell.
And to anyone who says, LOL DRUG OF TYPHOON GG!!!, Swing March is free and will make you move FASTER than Typhoon after higher caps.(250K per speed boost adds up after a while...)

I will not quote last BloodOwnzzz post (too big), but I completely agree with him. About subclasses, bard is the best subclass for high damage dealers, and cleric is for those who tank, like warriors. I think its pretty much like that, if you are an rogue or wizard, and you attack an warrior with bless spell, even if you do have bless spell yourself, he will still be able to kill you. If you manage to survive untill his AND your bless spell runs out, he will probably use his mana skin or his iron skin, and then you will be pwnd. Against warriors there won't be much you can do. Against chineses, you will probably be able to 1 hit any of them (at least at this cap), except perhaps a s/s int nuker using snow shield will be able to tank and kill you, but no build is completely perfect.
Please, correct me if, and where Im wrong, I do not have high level characters with these masteries, so probably I will have made some mistakes. This is pure logic and observation.

Cleric/Bard - you get speed? Well yeah thats the only good thing they got but hey, you can always ask a passing by bard to buff you with that cause thers always alot of em around.
In general you don't really need that speed in soloing or PvP'ing, its just more for traveling from town>hunting area>repeat and what was that about running away from giants?
Well most likely you won't survive even running away from one, like some1 mention like casting earth barrier and such...pfff rubish, by the time you'll cast it you'll already be hit 1-2 times by him, you'll run a little and be hit a second or third time and a lil more running and your dead in most cases, the most effiecient way to run away from a giant is just rooting or throwing fear on him , then you can just walk away like nothing happened.
Noise - what about it? I take it useless if you ask me, soloing? I don't do solo , i always do 8 ppl parties and hunt monsters some levels higher and rip of huge amounts of exp you'll never get by soloing.
But anyways lets talk about noise in solo then, wizard mostly 1-hit kills any target around his level range , well then? Even if a monster respawns right infront of you, then you can just start casting a fire bolt, the monster most likely won't even have a chance to attack, or if it does it'll probably do 1-2 hits wich is not enough to kill a wizard by a general monster, if 2 monsters resp, use a earth aoe = monsters dead.
So anyways noise is just a preferance, extra cautios wizards won't really let any1 close to themselves anyway since they can teleport , go invis and such.
Wizard/Cleric - I think cleric is much more suitable for Wizards,
1. Cause you get Holy shield.
2 Regen spells
3 Bless spell
4. You get the strongest spell in game (Offering/Pure Offering) to finish off extra hard opponents in PvP.
5. Heals
6. Ressurection
Bless spell/fear/root renders moving march useless against giants since you can always root/fear or use bless and kill it off rather than run away, but if you want to = fine, you can do that with these spells too and its much more safer.
Compare noise? Well nothing to compare , if your unsure just cast regen or bless on yourself at start shooting out the monsters.
And ofcourse you get a anti-status spell wich a bard can't even provide with any of such ;P
Some extra healing abilities like normal heals to fill up hp after a battle and not waste hp pots or heal a party in a critical moment if a cleric dies and ofcourse you can also ress wich provides itself useful in any enviroment.
And bless spell is the most useful spell a wizard can ask for, in a party if you got more ppl with this spell , you can just be under it like 100% of the time got 4 ppl with a cleric subclass, 75% with it with 3 ppl , 50% with 2 ppl and 25% with only yourself.
And mostly under bless spell you reduce the damage to almost minimal so tanking party monsters can even be done by a wizard now.
So generaly a cleric is alot better than a bard, pick a bard just if you like to move faster and are more spaced-out and need noise to extra secure yourself, but noise i think doesn't always work on all the monsters so you can die if your caught offguard.
P.S. I won't be leveling to 30-th lv mastery for some while cause of sp farming on ongs, so i'd like to ask a short explanation of lv30 invis, does a wizard have the ability to move under it, do you un-invis after you start casting a spell or after you finish casting it, and whats the cooldown for invis?
P.P.S. God i still am surprised how thick-headed ppl really are, Bless Spell has a 3 min cooldown not a 2 min, its written 2 min cause it starts cooling at 2min 59 seconds.

then you dont know how to play that character, I easily made it to 80 with my wizard/cleric, I had more problems finding enough mobs since you kill them so quick.
