humans are more than capable of living in peace, but a peace that was carved from fear. we fear retaliation and the breakdown of order and civility. we fear the consequences of striking out at another group of ppl. we can never respect other ppl fully, and equality is a joke. peace is a temporary solution that eventually leads to destruction.
but that's ok. humans have the ability to rebuild. one civilization disappears, and another sprouts up.

ye of little faith. Humanity has time to learn and to grow i don't think we'll be stuck in this adolescent phase for much longer.

i realize that we're still infants in the grand scheme of things, but the time when we could put down our arms and respect ourselves is still far away.
do you truly believe that we will grow up anytime soon? as long as we have guns pointing at our rivals, we will never achieve lasting peace. you said it urself that the world is going in a downward spiral.

your right, both priam and Tolose but i can't see the world getting better in the next 20-30 years meaning it will only get worse and if thats the case man will reach his do or die moment....peace or annihilation, theres not much left imo, this era is closing in on its endgame and if the rest of the era is anything to judge it by it will probably end in a very violent way...
mankind always leaps forward after a large conflict, maybe this time in the right direction...

Might sound emo, but we're farked anyway. Sure will get a little shaken up after a huge conflict. But we're going right down the same negative spiral 30 years later.
Take a look at the situation after WWII. The world was horrified, Things like that should never happen again, we said.
And look were we're heading now.

I feel there will be a major conflict because russia and china are starting to become powerful. And as they increase their influence to other countries, they will start clashing with America

Hmm, I guess you think your an expert on this matter calling me a 'dumb ass'. But let me ask you this: Sine her Death what has change, what will change and how?
If her death was so important then why do I hear nothing about it on the news now? Sorry but they only person in the world that would actually impact the world with his assassination would be good old George W.
If you think you're being all smart and mature about this by saying; oh the world suffered a loss then tell me why. She's just an outspoken person in a farked up country. Or has is something to do with her skin color as usual in your little world ?

are you kidding me I don't even watch TV my sister was just flipping through the channels and all you could hear was sh*t about Pakistan and the impact this will have on the country who was one of leading resistances to terrorist organizations (remember the real enemy)
And a US presidents assassination has never impacted the world tremendously normally because its an inside job, if another country was responsible then all hell would break lose but that so far has never been the case.
The ramifications of these events while probably not catastrophic could seriously stretch alot further than Pakistan. The change in gov't will probably reduce the country back to police state ("emergency") and allow another country to become a place where terrorist organizations can hide and prosper. Afaik the organization responsible for the attack was Al-Queda (sound familiar) so yeah the US lost a major ally in the fight against terrorism bringing us a couple steps backward to putting an end to all this shit thats been happening for the past 20 years...
Like i said crumpets your a dumbass trying to turn this into a color issue, trying to make it sound like im acting snobby, parading around your American ignorance like a shield against whats happening in The Rest Of The World. I didn't want to say all this because anyone who bothers to stay in touch with whats going on would know all of this already. But you....YOU'RE A DUMBASS...and thats still all i can say at this point....

Actually yes they do effect the world.

I say again, this will effect nothing.

She had been elected before, and had a good chance of getting elected again as her opponent, well... isn't as interesting.
yes musharref won last term, but that doesn't indicate anything. Plus, he was meant to go on vacation

Ok Pakistan is not in the "middle east" (which in itself is just a part of Asia)
Reise wrote:Iran and Pakistan are only threats because we're making them threats. IMO there's really nothing for us to get involved in.
I find it stupid how the US press and media is calling one of their biggest
allies in all of Asia a threat now, when truth be told the entire region would be
a lot better off with Musharraf in charge as hes will and is dealing with extremist
and terrorists.
