Well ima Rogue/Bard - XBower atm & in my exp with a wolf when i cant kill them mob 1st time my wolf will sure kill it for me, so knowing that i move on to the next mob so i get kills faster but sure buy it if you wanna

a wolf would be best because you can kill faster and also you can use your wolf whilst in transport to do the attacking.....so its your choice....

well u dont attack face to fave to the monters so its not a nessecity... plus u will be able to 2 shots mobs with xbow extreme.. i would let the wolf attack a mob while u are attacking another mob :wink:
