Yeah, but beach muscle is just that - beach muscle.
Who looks better walking down a beach with no shirt on? A fat, 300-pound guy that could kick your ass, or a skinny guy with a rippling 6-pack?
There are multiple reasons why people work out. Not all of us do it just to be able to kick someones ass.

Almost made me puke.
That's really unnatural. Ew.
I personally think uber-defined muscles are nasty. A little toned is okay but when I see guys flex and their muscles look like chiseled rock, I feel like gagging.
I have no six pack. I'm soft and a teeny bit squishy but I have a hard stomach.
Just don't start that steroids bs guys >_>.

not me :]
but to Rainigul who said water forms a layer under your skin.
Its impossible, when you drink water, it goes throughout your body, either you lose it through sweat, you pee, cry or when it gets stored and your body uses it for later. You HAVE to drink water.
But i have been getting lazy lately, ive been starting a diet, no soda, junk foods or any of that. Im starting to cut down on my meals. I go jogging about 3-5 miles a day, sometimes i incorporate fast walking when i get tired. You can do crunches all you want but its not going to help you in the long run, you may still have fat over your abs and without cardio, your heart and brain wouldnt function as well as if you did do cardio.
i think i just confused myself.

Leg lifts are good as hell...Also try swimming 4-6 hours a week (I do 14-16 but w/e)...Way better than running.
I have to work on my lower abs and thats for the 8 pack.
Although personally i rather work on my upper body than my abs...The abs come in handy...Theres always a random person out there who will punch you in the stomach for no apparent reason. Also they're great for butterfly.
I'm 16 1/2 and I'm 6'3 at 190 lbs...
