Theres a 300 player limit during the fort war. I'm not aware that there is a guild limit to this, since guild numbers can change when registered guilds log in for the battle. So if you registered your guild, make sure you are there in the fortress area before it starts.

You need minimum of 20 people online to be able to enter the fortress for the war; if you don't ave 20 guildmates online, including the guildmaster- you cannot participate in any way.

I beg to differ.
The 20 people was to register i thought, and they had to be in the guild.
We'll find out in a couple days i guess.

Here is a better question for you guys...If there is no current owner, does that mean no one will defend and this first Siege will be a fight between the guilds to get to the heart and kill it? Everyone just storming an empty place with no obstacles since no one will build them...no defenses... no doors... nothing.. that would be like getting yarkan stuck and fighting over getting the kill in capes!
Which reminds me.. level 76 wiz/cleric looking to join a participating guild for the war. Yes, I will wake up at 5am just to play in the first fortress war, and yes I do have awesome euro party experience. If you have TS it's even better, makes my reaction time so much faster.
