Hey guys just finished this piece this morning. The render is from I Robot courtesy of planetrender.com. I tried to go for a melting metal effect off of the robot and a slight smudge to reinforce that. Thx for any crit or comments.

There's a flow. But it doesn't belong.

The effects you created make it look as if a mouth is blowing out some stuff, but the 'mouth' is nowhere the robot's mouth. Or even the begin of the flow is nowhere near the robot.

Nice idea, but not too well executed, IMO.

If you didnt say there was a robot in there I wouldnt be able to find it.

hmm yes the render is abit too mixed up with the background =/ but looks ok still =)

It isn't the c4d's, it's the render. Looking at the sig I was like "what the hell is that doing there." It just doesn't fit the flow of the sig.

i disagree. well, i partly disagree. i think the render is well-cuited, just not prominent enough. the background is too busy for it. sharpen the render, and make it the focal. lower the opacity of the bg.
