My Stalling Entertainment Just Died T_T

Right as i went to take a small break form grinding in SRO thought i might play some call of duty 4 on my Xbox 360

so i plug it in switch on the consle to find the lovely Red Rings Of Death

now i googled Xbox Error Codes said it was a General Hardware Fault and to get a more detialed Discription
now i got the code 0020 which said on this list of Error Codes
Unkown (Could Be Overheating)

now this 360 hasnt been used all day not since last nite
has anyone actully experinced this and got it working again casue i dont wanna send it back >.<

Just send it back, its all you can do without screwing it up even more and losing the warranty all together. They will pretend to try and fix it but in the end will probably just send you a brand new one.

3 year warranty on ALL xbox 360's isn't cheap, go get it fixed no problem and try to make sure they don't send you a new HD cause you'll want all your saves, unless your a loser with a memory card...

Happened to my friends xbox yesterday...you have the option of sending it back, and getting it repaired or getting a brand new one, either way...

1/3 failure rate....mircosoft just gave you a console, that will sooner or later die..

There is one thing you can do.

It's a temporary fix.

Take any discs out of the console.
Wrap your 360 in towels completely.
Turn on the console and leave running for 20 minutes.

This causes the console to overheat, thus remelting the soldering on the hardware and reconnecting it, which is the opposite of what happened before.

I tried this and it worked for a bit, then I got the rings again.

Your best bet is to just send it in and hope that with the crazy Christmas traffic, you'll get it back in a decent amount of time.

I sent mine in beginning of August and got it back sometime around the beginning of September, so yeah.

you dont send the hard drive back. you take it off and send just the console on its own.

nope , if u send it back in and u dont have warranty on it you gotta pay to get it fixed. well they also wont fix my friends xbox 360 cuz he didnt purchase warrenty. then they yelled at em and they said they will do it if ther willing to pay. so itz just really bad luck
