Final Decision

This is my final and last thread bout my new char that I'm gonna make.

I just can't decide wether or not I should make a rogue/cleric or a chinese archer.

It seems to me that the archer can stay alive longer on the battlefield then the rogue. But then again the rogue can go invisible and bless....

I just don't wanna get pwned as much as I am now on my lvl 79 nuker (thats only without snowshield) and I wanna stay alive a little longer.. And still be able to kill my lvl ppl, because on my lvl 79 nuker I can't kill most of the lvl 79-80 archers/glaviers. Actually I can't really remember if I killed any yet.

So gimme some thoughts which will help me decide.

EDIT: Seems to me that only high lvl rogues and archers apply here. Cuz this char is gonna hit the cap.

EDIT2: My 79 nuker aint farmed lol. doesnt have any bich skills either.

Rogue/Bard, i would say wizard/bard but since i cant here it comes..

You can 1 hit anyone your own level (Atleast with crit), you can have 90% movement speed & noise.
You can 1 hit (probably) niya royals when your high enought and grind there with your noise.
You can get LY kills if you choose xbow becouse of your high dmg.
You can do jobs with stealth on and own people.
You can have +100% movement speed at 90 gap.
You (probably) can hunt medusa with xbow when chin tomb is opened.

if you care that much about dying then don't go euro or choose a warrior class
still find it weird that you cant kill are you farmed?

Bryan, You have to convince yourself that rogues arent meant to last longer, even tho if they have cleric as sub class. Thinking of a rogue with bless spell, is the same like thinking of your nuker having snow shield and tanking everything.

Rogues are killing machines, they dissapear, back stab, then kill another one, and then they're vulnerable to any attack. In my own experience (now that i job war A LOT), our rogue in party always says that before he dies, he at least will take 3 or 4 people to death (hehe, sounds funny), but then he will just die, unless a cleric (me in this case) starts healing and keeping the party and of course him, alive.

I think the main reason why you keep gettin pwned, it's because you built a pve character. Remember i kept telling you to get some sword skills for pvp? and I think you once started gettin skills,but at the end you stopped. You wont kill any1 only by just nuking chars, unless you're full of suns.

However, if you want to stay alive longer, having a pure str chinese char (blader, glaiver, or bow) would be that choice, non pot delay, and they're really cool builds, and archers look hot!

wow these polls have no limits(COUGH) rogue bard cause to be a good rogue you have to be fast and being able to run in the battle fast and own some1 and run out is good.

it takes araund 8 mounths to grind from 1 to 8 with silk, so why wouldnt the smartest build be pve ? If you spend most of the time killing mobs whats the point of getting pvp build, im gonna grind to 80 once im fully farmed and then start thinking what to do about my build, comes easyer that way

well from everything ive ever seen a bow still has a tough time killing anouther lvl 80 unless they have a sun bow.

im talking about everyone in general, I havent found a bow yet that can kill a fully farmed lvl 80 glavier unless they're using sun, but on the other hand the glavier cant kill the bow either, chinese nukers are not that hard to kill for any build (str) if you know how to protect yourself till snow shield wears off.

Scenario 1: No one having sosun. If I have my snow shield on, I will pretty much kill everyone except good bowers, I will never die except against bow builds. 1 crit is pretty much whats it's needed.

Scenraio 2: If they have sosun weapon, I'm pretty much dead.

BOWERS are really good @ high lvls once they get kb and that crit really hurts. IMO I rather fight glaviers than ANY other build. Thye can barely do any dmg whatsoever on me even with glavie +7.

Between rogue and bow, I would take bower any time. Looks cooler, more tanking ability and it OWNS.

I'm not really experienced with Rogues but all i can say is that they don't survive much, at the end they're pretty much like a s/s nuker with snow shield and good gear.

Usually i can easily take out any rogue of my level or a bit higher unless they got a sox weapon or crit at every 3-4 shots, i'm a blader so all i have to do is tank until i get a KD, then they're pretty much screwed. KD + stab takes out half or even 3/4th of their HP, so after i only have to use a chain and a smash and they're dead because of pot delay.

Still Rogues are very fun to play, high damage, great crits, extemely fun monster mask and duplicate skills and stealth...

But if all that matters for you is to have a good build in the long run go bow.

The thing that got me thinking bout a str char is bcuz I don't survive long in pvp/job without snowshield and I dont wanna depend on something.. I dont wanna go snowshield then if its gone go save zone and wait till its back.

Yeap, there are glaviers that can tank me till my snow shield is off, but don't forget I still have ironshield + icewall + kd + phantom(sometimes when hp is very low) I can use till snow shield is ready to use. Using a combination of ironshield and icewall is what i do after snow shield is off, and eventually I will kill the glavie with bleed and a some nukes right after stab. BTW icewall cd is really fast.

yep and if need be use snake storm, and if they are kding you switch to shield when your on the ground and some people even put on 20% snow shield, after snow shield wears off its only 1 stun away from a kill, even if they are using ice wall or fire castle. so pretty much just stick with ss soul and emperor till snow is off.

Is the attack strat for pure int s/s? Because against a 7:1 s/s even once snow shield is down ur talking 2 consecutive crits before he falls and with kd+stab ur not going to get that lucky very often. In addition once bleed and division are on your running huge risks at dying over time to chains. You have a 45sec window in which to kill a nuker and they will make that 45 seconds hell.

p.s. 7:1 spear rapes glaives all night all day without breaking a sweat (shame they dont kill anyone else)

I would go rogue/cleric. I much perfer Healing Cycle over Moving Match, and Bless Spelss over Noise. In other words, why run when u can tank?

spend your time to make money and imrpve your gear/skills, if you build your nuker correct you will own
